Header Competition Season 2 # 24 "RED"

The theme this week is by me and is "Red".    Mac, Gail's ManLanny, Dave, Sandy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We have added Sandy Carlson to our list of players. She is a great photographer from Connecticut. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.

Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.

Red, my what to choose. A RED stop sign?

A RED Pitcher Plant from Triangle Lake in Winter? It traps bugs to eat.
A Red Cardinal on my back deck in Winter plumage. They are so bright in Winter.
A RED Cadillac on the road?
No, we took a trip across Ohio and saw a lot of Red barns. I only had to choose the one. This one had seen better days.
This one was neat with the fresh RED paint.
I finally chose this one for the header. All the barns showed up so well. All the photos from the car on were taken out the window at 70 MPH with my Canon Powershot SX100IS.

See what the other show above.

I certainly hope you weren't driving! (BTW, some of my best shots are those I've taken....while driving. Uh-oh!)

Fascinated by that pitcher plant. I've never seen a red one. Beautiful!

Great choices for red. You forgot the red fire trucks. I especially like the red barns. Have a great day.

Great red shots looks like a very neat farm, all crisply painted. Great shot at you would never know it was taken at speed well done.

That's a rather phallic looking silo amongst those red barns. Liked the cherry red car.

You're good at getting pictures from your car. I really like the beautiful red barn you chose for your header. It's a typical Midwestern scene.

What charming red barns! And the cardinal is sweet too - if a little cold.

Ahhh, Ohio farm land, now that for sure would give up a lot of red! I like the pitcher plant very much. Ya know, I'm not sure I would think of a caddy as red, seems like a color for other cars and caddies would be.. black or champagne colored...

Your reds are outstanding! You have given me a whole new appreciation of the color.

(I am working on "making do" for this week!)

I like the red theme, and I have always thought that cardinals in the snow make for especially beautiful photos, so this post was just perfect.
