Header Competition Season 3 # 13 - "New Beginnings"

The theme this week is by Gail's Man is New Beginnings". Mac, Gail's Man, Dave, Kathy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that.

This is the start of a new year and the true start of winter in Kent. After a mild snow less Christmas we had 16" of snow on Monday evening and Tuesday. Here are some of the results with a shot of a friends back yard in the morning.
And from a different angle.
This is during the day as the snow fell from my front porch.
This is my backyard and deck in the storm.
What I chose was a break in the storm as my "New Beginnings". Can you imagine what I felt to get this between storms.
See what the others show at the above links.

I heard you were getting Lake Effect Snow in your area. I have never experienced this phenomenon, though we can get plenty of snow here as well. We actually need more snow in the mountains here and are hoping it will come, as it is needed for irrigation in the summer.

16 inches of snow, blimey that's amazing. I don't know how the UK would cope this that amount, as it almost came to a standstill lat year with about 4 inches.

We have snow, too, a little less than you. I like when the sky turns blue after a snow storm. I love the contrast of the blue and white. Stay warm, my friend!

You are so blessed to be able to see and photograph snow. I am envious (even though I know that envy is wrong...)
These photographs are splendid....and I wish I could enjoy the beauty of snow like this!!!
Here near the Florida state line, I don't get to see it.
