The theme this week by Chris is "Confectionery". Mac, Chris,Kathy, Rich and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. Mac is on holiday again so won't be posting this week.
This week I'm sure Chris and the people in England have a different take. When I think of this subject I think of sugar. The confectionery sugar or candy. All of our candy comes from the grocery store. Here are some photos of candy and sugar displays. These are the boxed confectioners sugar
and the bagged type.
We do have a lot of candy choices.
There are also displays for Halloween candy.
And I decided to use this display of confectionery with a big spider.

The theme this week by Kathy is "Change". Mac, Chris,Kathy, Rich and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. Mac is on holiday so won't be posting this week.
This week some reall changes have come to the shore of the lake. The colors they are a changing.
The reds and yellows are coming into view.
There is beauty all around as the colors burst forward.
You can see the wonders of nature.
What i chose as my header is a water lily leaf that had broken free. You can really see it's in the state of change.

Feathers
The theme this week by Gail is "Feathers". Mac, Chris,Kathy, Gail, Rich and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
This week is Gail's last week. She chose a theme that was right in my wheel house. I love nature and birds and have a lot to choose from. I have some recent photos with lots of feathers. There is a lot of shedding of the geese this week as they are fledged. I got this shot on the water.
I enjoy the Great Blue Heron and all its shows of the feathers.
The mallard female has great feathers.
What I always think about are the Peacock showing its feathers in Mexico.
They were wild and could fly where thy wanted
There feathers put on a wonderful show.
Dancing around showing off their feathers.
Turn some more please.
I moved to frame it in the gate.
What I chose for my header is the reason for the feathery show with the female he was strutting to attract.

The theme this week by Richard is "Trough the Window". Mac, Chris,Kathy, Gail, Rich and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
This ended up a tough week trying to decide which way to go. I found some neat photos out of the family room window. There was a black squirrel getting buckeyes off the Ohio Buckeye Tree. It gave some neat shots trough the window.
I did a close-up of the black squirrel.
That night I got this shot through the window. You can see the large mouth bass reflection. This was going to be my header until I thought of another time I shot through a window.
I thought of the trip to Europe in 2010 and crossing the Alps by bus with the Shaker Heights Band. We are going to Turkey in the Spring. I took a lot of photos out of the bus window. Here is a shot of the Dolomite Mountains as we passed by.
The weather wasn't always perfect but I still took photos through the window. How can you resist when you have mountains and cool towns.
My favorite was the view of the Alps as we got closer. This ended up being my header,
