The theme this week by me  is "Sunrise/Sunset - Your Choice" Mac, Chris,Kathy, Gail and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that.

I thought this would be a fun theme with of neat photos. I just made a fishing trip to Canada and was on the lake for the Sunrise. They change each day are spectacular on the lake. Here was a neat day from the shore at Horwood Lake.
This is from the boat as the sun peeks over the trees.
Timing is everything and the photos do change rapidly.
I chose this as my header because it was a wonder, a super colorful Sunrise.

The theme this week by Chris  is "Fashion" Mac, Chris,Kathy, Gail and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that. This was a week for me because I'm out of town. I made the post early and would have gone a different way if I had time.

I thought I would show the fashion from the 4TH of July parade. Here is
Her a couple of clowns in fashion.
Loved the fashion statement of the Cadillac passenger.
Dressed up for raising the flag on Iwo Jima.
How about this pizza slice.

The theme this week by Mac  is " Health, Wealth or Happiness within a Flower" Mac, Chris,Kathy, Gail and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that.

I'm going to go with Happiness within a flower. I enjoyed all the wild flowers I captured from my Canada trip in the past post.
This was from the Old Woman Waterfall with the granite in the background.
This was a cool flower in a gravel bed.
Check out these daisies among the granite. Do they make you happy?
This is what I chose as my header. The daisy coming through this plant made me smile.

Horwood Lake Lodge - Timmins, Ontario, Canada

My son, two grandson and myself headed out on a week fishing trip. We had a great time at the lodge. The Walleye were in the 15" to 17" range with a few over 18".  They grow about half as fast as they do in Ohio, about 3" a year. There were a lot of fish available and you could catch a limit quickly. The lake is beautiful and the lodge is great as a fishing lodge. You can get a lot of info from the link above. Get the meal plan, you won't be disappointed with any meals. We still had a fish fry most every night and the boys loved it.

We had a great time and saw a lot of nature. I had never captured the Common Loon and I got a lot of chances to photograph them. This one showed off for me.
There was one morning when the grandsons were the only ones who caught fish. They got some nice walleye and Matt caught the biggest, a 18.75" Walleye.
Mike caught a nice walleye one of the mornings when the two of us were out.
There were some superb sunrises and I was out most every morning even if the boys slept in.
Matt and I went on a special trip to Longfellow Lake for Northern Pike.
I caught a nice Walleye

and Northern Pike.
There was a forest fire and the road out was in danger.
We got to see the water bombers hit the lake to fight the fire. There were 4 planes the first day getting water.
We spent one day at Old Woman Falls and had a great day.
It was a fun trip with many memories made.

The theme this week by Kathy  is "It's a Small World".  Mac, Chris,Kathy, Gail and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that.

This was a short week for me because of a fishing trip to Canada. I did capture some looks at a small world. I start by showing a Fish Ohio Crappie I caught this week with a small one below.
I saw these ducklings which live in a small world.
I love the Canada Geese goslings as they cruise with a parent. They do have a small world.
I thought these ants might show a small world best. I captured them on a trip to Mexico.
This is the photo I decided for my header to show a small world.
See what the others have shown above.
