"Summer Solstice"

The theme this week by Kathy is "Summer Solstice". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. You can see what others show on my side bar.

We have reached into the year and we are quickly approaching the Summer Solstice. The earth has tilted to the maximum northward. This is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. It is time for summer fun, are you ready. My photos are of summer related items. How about my grandson with a nice crappie, check the size of that mouth. He was proud of this nice catch.
This is a boat from a little town in Turkey. The nets are ready to catch some fish.
The Great Blue Heron fishes all summer.
A typical summer catch of perch and crappie, they are delicious eating.
This is an ocean bird showing off its agility.
A bed of summer flowers.
This is another shore bird walking the summer beach.
See my side bar for other's posts.

Those fish especially look marvelous! What is your favorite way to prepare and eat your catch?

Great summer fishing fun! I did a chore for a fisherman friend and he finally paid off with some fish. We've yet to eat it, but soon--soon.
