"Who Done It?"

The theme this week by Mac is "Who Done It?". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

Mac wanted us to do a Who Done It? as this weeks theme so I decided to find out who was emptying the bird feeder. It could have been the Carolina Wren but it is a small bird.
How about the Rose Breasted Grosbeak?
Then there are the Downy Woodpeckers,
and the Red Bellied Woodpeckers.
Maybe I'm getting a little closer with this Black Squirrel. I'm still asking Who Done It?
But what is this in the feeder? Does it use the top entrance?
Why, it is a Chipmunk. I don't think it is the real culprit even with those full cheeks.
I finally found the real culprit emptying the feeders. Why it is this female deer with a big appetite.  Look at all the seeds on the ground.
See what the others have to show on my side bar.

You did some real detective work to discover "Who done it?". The deer seems to be getting more than her share. Great shots of the invited and uninvited guests at your feeder!

Watch out, as you might have some interesting things growing below the feeder come spring.

Great shots. Great birds.

Brilliant post, as the theme carries a singleminded continuity throughout!

When the winter starts, the animals come. Good that you feed them.

What beautiful photos of the wildlife.
I'm a sucker for birds, deer...and just about any creature that God created that breathes (I'm withholding my love and adoration regarding the mosquito. Just can't love her... just can't.)
Love your photographs!

Love it! My back yard is fenced in, so no deer there, but even here in suburbia we've seen deer and coyotes running down the street, plus many a red-tailed hawk has been blamed for missing chihuahuas. ;)

No fair using beautiful bird pics to tell your story; I loved all of them.
