"B&W verses Color"

The theme this week by me  is "B&W verses Color". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I thought this would be a neat subject to see if I like B&W or color. I chose the color but it was close. This is a muskrat swimming on the lake
It was pretty cool in B&W.
I looked at this monolith in Mexico.
I would have chosen the B&W here.
The color on this doe in my yard was spectacular.
It was not as cool in B&W.
See what the others have to show.

I really like them both, but have to admit I do lean towards the color in such beautiful captures!! Thanks as always for sharing the fun and the beauty!!

I love the colour shots, but the B&W are also very pretty. Often it seems that the details show up better this way.

I love the B/W one of the muskrat.
It is hard for me to make choices on photos such as these. I'm so glad that I don't have to choose...only enjoy!!
Hugs,
Jackie

I like these b&w and color shots. But the doe in color is spectacular!

Neat show for your choice of B/W vs Colour MDF Tom.
Muskrat - real neat capture.

I interpreted your theme differently and went about switching shots to BW. I actually had to go back and find the originals to post as I forgot the color should be there to compare.

Contrast usually makes the difference.

I like B&W best for those shots showing how animals (like the doe) are camouflaged in their hiding places.

I don't usually play around with my photos, except to crop them, I think the B & W idea is a fun one, though.
Good for you!
