"Trees"

The theme this week is "Trees" by Christine.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. Mac is travelling but he posted.

I don't know what is more lovely then a tree in it's full color. This weekend brought about the changing of the colors in the trees. The remnants of the hurricane is bring bad weather here today. Here is an Oak Tree in it's full color. Orange and red are the predominate colors.
 Here is another view with my daughter's house in the background with my grandson in the yard.
They also come in yellow.
And also a purplish red.
And sometimes they are half changed.
No wonder they call the pines the evergreen trees.

Trees
BY JOYCE KILMER 1914
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

See what the others show on my side bar.

These pictures are stunning. The Oak trees out here usually just turn brown in fall.I also like the poem.Yes,only God can make a tree.

It almost looks like the tree is on fire.

We had our Fall Colors theme a month too early. These trees are gorgeous. I think you get more brilliant color in the Midwest and northeast.
