The theme this week is "Fifty" by Christine. Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. Mac is leaving for two weeks on vacation.
Being an Engineer I tend to take things literally. My first thought was the new Fifty Dollar bill. It has many safety features , some you can see and some you can't. President Grant is the main feature.
The old fifty looks pretty plain when compared to the new one.
Two quarters adds up to fifty cents. I just happened to have an Ohio quarter in my pocket.
I also had a Maryland quarter in my pocket posted for Lew.
You can also get fifty in change, a quarter two dimes and a nickle. I certainly had a variety of change in my pocket.

"Away Day lol"
The theme this week is "Away Day lol" by Mac. Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. Mac is leaving for three weeks so he picked this crazy theme.
I had a pair of fawns come into the yard and this pose said to me quit taking my photo or away I go. Another thought is the spots are going away.
They come out of the woods and feed on my grass.
One looks a lot older then the other because it is losing it's spots.a
They stayed and feed for quite a while.
Someone was bothering them. (me?)

Well, we are staying at my daughters with our bathroom being redone. This is a beautiful morning view to the lake.
I am raising some yellow tomatoes this year, love them.
Capturing a wild strawberry, tasteless.
A Bumble Bee gathering some nectar.
A Fly, oh my.
This is a capture from my TV from the "Need For Speed" Movie.

"Official"
The theme this week by me is "Official". Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. Mac is travelling to Ireland so will not be posting.
While visiting DC we saw the home of the highest official of the USA. My wife posed in front of the rear entrance to the White House.
There was someone on the roof checking her out.
No one was there when I was with her.
The front of the White house with work being done by crane.
The official home of the congress and the senate is the Capitol Building. It is under reconstruction at this time.
From the Lincoln Memorial across the reflecting pool you can see the Washington Monument (a memorial to our first official) with Capitol Building behind.

ODD SHOTS
The theme this week by Kathy is "Odd Shots. ". Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
We just got back from a week in D.C. and saw some great sights. Here are a couple of Odd Shots I captured. This artists sculpture was surely odd as it showed the continents in an open pattern.
You know something is odd when the writing on the sidewalk makes sense. This is the only one I saw.
How about an odd vehicle with a satellite disc on top. It certainly takes a full size Hummer to carry it around.

It seems as though animals can relax better then humans. This is a Tree Frog relaxing on my deck.
Here is a Red Fox relaxing in my back yard.
How about a Ruddy Duck relaxing on the lake.
How about a Mallard Duck on a log.
Here is a baby Canada Gosling in the grass.
Finally a Snapping Turtle relaxing on the bottom of a shallow pond.
