Camera Critters 7

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.

Perfect timing, I was driving to work between the horse stables and the muskrat lake and as I came around a bend, what to my wondrous eyes appear. Why it's Santa's reindeer, well okay, there are three White Tail Doe Deer.
The deer were unfazed by me.
I was able to stop the car on this lightly travelled road and get this close-up.
The moment passed very quickly as they moved away.
In a few minutes they were gone and I went on my way to work.
I had seized the moment.

Awesome post of my second favorite animal (second only to dogs hehe)!

I added you to the sign-in on the Camera-Critters blog. Hope the concert was as awesome as it sounded it would be.

Oh, I love deer... great captures... We often get many of the mule deer here in the neighbourhood that are as tame as the cats and dogs and will hang out on the porches waiting for carrots and apples first thing in the morning!

Cool!

You are becomming quite the outdoor/wildlife photographer!

I enjoyed you post about the fishing. The cold rainy spell that we had the last week and an half dropped out water temp over twelve deg. and nearly shut off the fishing. I too skipped work on Friday and found the fishing to be very slow. I expect after a few days of warm-up the bite will be back better than ever.

I finally had time to catch up on reading your blog this evening and I really enjoyed it. You have had some interesting encounters recently.

Deer and elk are my favorite wild animals and I was glad to see you had that deer encounter.

The first heron shot in yesterday's post is outstanding and the skywatch post was very good. I liked how you opened with the scene and then posted the series on the squirrels.

Have a great memorial day weekend!

So many deer around here. Poor things have no place left go out ~ there has been way to much building and tearing down of the trees. It's nice to see some just out in the fields.

Good capture Fishing Guy - the deer cross here most every morning but are a little skittish this time of year.
My neighbor told me today he saw a fawn being born in my back woods a couple of weeks ago - I hope Mama brings it out soon!

You siezed the moment and got deer photographs. We siezed the moment and got photos of the 2008 Rolling Thunder Ride to the Wall in D.C.

Oh well seized! Well seized indeed.

They are DEFINITELY related to Bambi. I can tell. Beautiful creatures, and you caught their gentleness in those shots. Well done.
