While I was there a Black Squirrel ran up the tree on the right side. I went around the back of the tree and about 30 foot up I was able to capture him looking down at me. I can see him saying "Hey, what is going on Fishing Guy?"
Then to my surprise a friend showed up.
Here is a close-up from the above picture. The Grey and Black Squirrels have set up a family unit.
I hope you enjoyed my extra animal photos. I have found out, don't miss the moment, it may never occur again.

These squirrels are delightful. I have never seen this variety before. Thanks for the introduction. Your view of the trees is super.
The last sentence says it all - both for photography and life in general.
So nice... kissing too...
Lovely weekend to you, with a lot of kissing :-)
Ha! You're right about missing the moment. There have been times that I've wished I didn't have to wait for my camera to come on :0)
The squirrels are great. wonderful catch. The trees are looking good too. Have a great Memorial Day weekend...
The sky watch picture--gives me the feeling that the air is so crisp and clear. And yes, I like the squirrels. Check out the links in my side bar to see Mama Squirrel that lives near me.
Great captures and a super shot.
Beautiful shots. Nice animal taken.
Great photos you've captured! And a pretty sky, too :-)

Well done... I wonder what the young will be coloured like...
by the way 'don't miss the moment, it may never occur again'. I'll second that.

Those trees are certainly leafed out now! And the squirrels are a delight. We don't have any here.

Perfect photos and a fantastic last sentence!
Great photos and I agree totally with your sentiment
Cute squirrel shots
Love those squirrels. I read from a blogger today that found a nest with babies in his house. Wild. I also like that song. I'm going to Itunes to check it out. Thanks!
Wonderful shots. :)
"Hey, It`s Sky Watch again", he told his friend, i`m sure. ;)
One of the best reasons for blogging is capturing moments like this! :)Seeing life from a beautiful perspective.
Beautiful trees, sweet animals and wise words. Who could ask for anything more?
beautiful sequence of photos especially the first color with very fine
Amazing! Thanks.
Your squirrel shots are so cute! They are such fun little creatures to watch. The trees look so pretty against the white clouds and blue sky.

We have black squirrels here in EG too. I did some research and discovered they are actually the same variety as the grey ones! There are albinos too.

I love them all: the sky, the tree and the little squirrels. As I live in the city I never saw them close, and it's nice to see them here!
How sweet! Squirrels AND a gorgeous sky!!!
Squirrels and skywatch. A perfect combination
Wow, those are quite some trees! Huge! Love the photos and the squirrels. Thanks for visiting my blog!

How wonderful, I never saw two different ones together before. These are beautiful captures, and how delightful that you took this last one. Karen

You never disappoint, Fishing Guy. THIS post is a treat all the way around!
Cute! Its very rare for them to stare on cameras as they did here! From the look at the branches, the trees are really birch trees as the have white spots like that! My whole family is allergic to it =D
Happy weekend!
Great finds when you least expect it. Cute squirrels and the trees are awesome! (Unfortunatly, hubby didn't catch a fish.)
Lovely Sky Watch photo. The Squirrels also look good.
wow! how great you find those creatures as you got a nice sw photo.
Loved the sky shot and the bonus shots of the squirrels.
Hey Fishing Guy. They are just wonderful shots. Well done!
I once didn't stop my car on the way to work to photograph a sunrise as I new the delay would get me caught up in traffic. There has not been a sunrise so spectacular since!
Carpe diem as they say. Have a great weekend!
Hope dont mind me leaving a comment. These photos are beautiful. I love the squirrels.
This is a great post!
Kissing squirrels--never seen that before! So glad you seized the day and the camera for these shots.
Love those squirrel shots!
Wanderful photos!
What wonderful squirrel love shots! (Sky is beautiful, too.)
You are so right about not missing the moment. I forget that at times.
Such a nice chronology of the trees and now these little tenants :O) Really interesting views and I especially like your last sentence.
The squirrels are cute. We had black squirrels in Ohio, agressive little buggers, but boy are they beautiful!
Happy SWF!
I have been taking photos of the same tree top for months now .. looking back at the stark limbs and now seeing them with leaves .. its just such fun .. and your little friend is cute!
:-Daryl
ahhh how sweet!
Great shots! especially of the two trees. It's great to go back and see the trees all decked out! Good shots of the squirrels! Happy Memorial Day! :D
Nice sky shot - but I love the squirrels.
Thank you for the link to sky watch friday and thanks for visiting too.
So true Fishing Guy. Each day comes by but once so sieze the moment. Hope you get to go out in your boat this weekend. I think the weather will be nice.
Very nice, my friend, very nice!
I wish you many blessigs, love and happiness
Sooooo cuuuuute!
Petunia's SWF
That first squirrel shot scared me. I thought it was a rat.
Nice sky photo.
In the small village where i was born nowadays they only have black gray squirrels. Somewhere along the way the gene got mixed up and they only come out black.
The green and white and blue from the sky photo really pop out quite nicely. And those tree rats --er, squirrels are a nice diversion, too.
Don't know if there be any black squirrels in the Chicago area here. Just grays and reds.
Great post fishing guy... love the extra squirrel pics.. (grin)
I love these photos! We have a bunch of black squirrels living in a forest preserve just north of here, and they are a treat to spot. I have even seen one white one in a town called Wayne just north of here! That was a sight! Loved the last line of your post!
My husband is always wanting me to take pictures of squirrels.
Cool shot with the trees... just LOVE the shot of the squirrels "kissing".
