What is it XIII Final

Aunt B was the first one to make the great guess. She was absolutely correct. Carletta was real close.


This is a conveyor from a lathe that is used to carry the metal turning from the lathe. The metal shavings are curled and the blue color on some is from the heat of turning. Wood is also cut on a lathe and these turning occur there also.


This picture is showing the bin and part of the lathe.

I might just have had a chance of this one if I had not been off my feet the last day or two ;o).. do you call these shavings SWARF like our metal shops do?

Tom: No, I never heard of swarf. We just call it turnings or chips. We do recycle them to metal salvage.
