Becky of Twisted Fencepost had shown a Davey Tree truck a few weeks back in NC. I wanted to show the world headquarters and the development center of the Kent based company . This is about 2 miles from my home.
This is the building with a nice frozen over pond in front. You can click to get a closer look.
Here is a tree near the pond and I showed for its beauty. We have had two days above freezing and Sunshine.
This is in the way of review from the Crane Avenue Bridge from last week. We now have two way traffic but construction is taking place on part of the entrance to the bridge.
The are got hit really hard with 12" more inches this week. You can see the snow pile at the end of a neighborhood road from all the plowing.
This is all the snow in my back yard. The snow just keeps coming with no promise of quiting. The groundhog Punxsutawney Phil has predicted 6 more weeks of Winter and I certainly see it coming.

Awesome photos. Great post.
You really have gotten a lot of snow. Great shots and an interesting post.
Our local groundhog, Wiarton Willie, saw his shadow too. Bummer! Six more weeks of winter. At least we are finally halfway through winter and the days are getting visibly longer. Hang in there, FG!
That's a LOT of snow. I love the tree with the red. So cheerful for winter.
Plenty of snow then Fishing Guy,lol.great shots and love your house too.
It seems we all feel the same, longong for winter to end.Of one thing we can be certeain,it will end and summer will come.Say safe amd all the snow.
Blessings,Ruth
Really fantistic photos! And so much snow! I feel like such a wuss complaining about our 12 inches, it's been gone for weeks now and while it isn't spring, at least we have a little sunshine and warmer temps! Great post, as always! Thanks!
And now I can hear Bill Murray say "It's Groundhog Day....again". I didn't realise the film was set against a real event! (Although I did know about the tradition of a critter seeing it's shadow). I still don't know which I'd prefer - your cold or my heat...
Again a very nice trip in your neighbourhood. Thanks for sharing.
what a wonderful pictures to show off your world. :)
My World Tuesday
I love the photo which covered the view, the one with red leaves or whatever color it is. Thanks for sharing.
First Tom --let me say CONGRATS on the Steelers big win.. I think I could hear you whoopin' and hollerin' last night!!!!!
Great pictures in 'your world.' Glad they are getting some of the bridge work done.
Hope your bad weather lets up a little. You've had a rough winter for sure!
Betsy
The snow looks pretty, but I know you must be getting tired of it. Twelve inches in one week is a lot. The tree dressed in red is very pretty.
always enjoy your world...have to say i will keep the cold weather here rather than have all that snow you've got. my only reason for not wanting snow is that the walk from the employee lot to the terminal is a headache and one is prone to slipping on ice and such...
have a good week
erin
Great post and the photos are up to date. You really are still in winter. Keep warm.
Great winter shots, thanks for sharing your world with us.
Cheers!

It snowed here this morning, so a groundhog would NOT have seen his shadow. I guess that means spring will come in six weeks! I hope you don't get too much more snow.

Like you, we have had more snow this winter than I can remember getting since the cold, blizzard days of winters during WWII. Boy was that something and we had to walk to school too in those days.
Thanks for taking a look at my house finch in my birds blog.
That's a nice building Davey tree has there. Looks like a cozy place to work. And it would have to be with all that snow!
Glad I live further south. Maybe you should consider a relocate. tee hee
I always like your winter shots! Really liked that tree - I wonder what kind it was? Very coloful in the midst of all that snow!
What a lovely sight :D
Davey? They musta known I was on my way .....
Very beautiful scenery. Snow always looked so perfect and lovely.
Phil knows. Your world looks great under snow. Looks are everything so long as the sand and salt hold out!
Never seen a Davey Tree truck in my part of NC, but then I never went looking for one either.
But speaking of trees, what kind of tree is that one with all the red on it? I tried to embiggen it, but I still couldn't tell. Looked like maybe some kind of ornamental crabapple or something like that, but in the dead of winter? Sure does brighten things up though.
And I'm not convinced that this whole Accu-Rodent thing isn't anything more than a marketing gimmick to put places on the map that wouldn't otherwise be there.
Lots of snow, and it also looks dry -- an indication that spring is still weeks away ... and if the Groundhog is correct, at least 6.
Looks like a lot of snow. Better than you.
Darn Winter!! Great post and pictures!!
Take care.
great photos! and a nice virtual trip!
12 inches is more snow than I have EVER seen! Great piccies.
You have a lot of snow there, Fishing Guy. Very interesting sequence of views, beautiful the red tree.
More snow here in Turin too!
Beautiful series of images and my god you seem to be neck deep in snow. It should be pretty cold out there. Its the starting of summer in India and I m looking forward to some amazing wildlife photography...Thomas
Oh gosh you do have a lot of snow there, ours has melted here, with temps in the upper 50's but will end soon. Great photos
The tree makes a lovely picture against the snow Tom.
Nice pics from your beautiful world - you have much more snow there than here!
6 more weeks of winter! Well, make the most of it! :)
The pics look very handsomely finished.
Great post FG.
Cheers
Great post, you have had a lot of snow, we have had snow the first significant snowfall for 18 years!
So much snow! Lovely!
So much snow! Lovely!
Your snow looks wonderful from where I am sitting. We have had temps around 100F for over a week and it doesn't look like changing. The contrast between the red tree and the snow is wonderful.
great photos!
Nice shots. The marvellous all photographs, splendid this with the trees and snow, beautiful opposition!
what magnificent photos.
What a lot of snow. Love the picture of the tree, beautiful.
Like Becky-I see Davey trucks around my area too. Neat to see their headquarters.
Fishing Guy, I suppose you know that the Steeler's Ben R. is grad of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio which is my alma mater and the cradle of coaches like Woody Hayes, etc. Great game Sunday night. However my son-in-law from Cape Cod who loves his Patriots refused to even watch the game! How about those apples!
A very interesting series with good photographs. It is amazing that we have had so little snowfall, while there has been so much in your area.
We have had a few warmer days now and what snow we have is rapidly melting, but it was brutal for awhile with the hard crust.
Twas a great game no matter who you were cheering for. Looks like you live in a nice area, thx for sharing. Blue Skies FG.
Just want to say thank you for the meme My World. It's so great to see all these pictures from all over the world.
Wow Groundhogs really do predict the weather over your way? I thought it was just the movie story, not real.
You do have a lot of snow, must make life difficult for everyone.
Thats a beautiful tree, with the red leaves and branches, nice photos.
I love your snow shots. Your posts are always so interesting!
Looks like the Crane Bridge construction is moving right along. I keep forgetting to ask my boss about it, so thanks for the update!
