Today's Flowers # 88

My friend Luiz from Brazil does the Today's Flowers Meme, check it out. Come and join with your flower photos. Sunday at 2 GMT is the post time.

Here are some more flowers I saw on my Europe trip. We were gathering to tour Mirabell Palace Garden in Salzburg, Austria. This little flowering tree begged for a photo. The wife and our new friends Mary and Dave are just behind the tree. The palace is right behind.

The hanging blooms were just beautiful on the tree.
This is the garden where part of "The Sound of Music" was filmed.
The gardens were not in full bloom but you can see some of the beauty to come.
I couldn't get Mrs. Fishing Guy to twirl but she did pose at the fountain where the childrens and Jule Andrews danced.
Visit a lot of neat sites to see above.

That's a very beautiful flowering tree. Perhaps you needed to sing in order to get Mrs. Fishing Guy to twirl around the fountain.

The blooms on that tree are gorgeous! I'm reliving my visits to Europe vicariously through you. I lived in Germany in the mid- to late-70s (I was in the Army) and returned as a tourist in 1982 and 1984. I have visited both of the cities, Venice and Salzburg, that you have blogged about so far. I would love to return to Europe one day!

By the way I noticed, too, that my photograph did not display for a moment. I suspect Flickr was experiencing a hiccup.

Outstanding photos, and I enjoyed seeing Mrs. FG. Looking forward to catching up on all your other European Vacation pics. Thanks for stopping by and letting me know about Linda's first entry. Fortunately I had already visited but always appreciate a head's up just in case.

What fun, to be at that fountain. I love torturing myself and family with the Sound of Music at least a couple of times a year! But that pink tree! Did it have a fragrance? It looks like perfume heaven!

Why didn't you twirl by the fountain and let Mrs. Fishing Guy take the pic?

What a beautiful place! I was in Salzburg so many years ago, in the summer. These trees are so pretty...lovely little flowers. And, how fun it is to see where movies were filmed. I also saw this fountain...way back then!

I think you captured Mrs. Fishing Guy in mid-twirl, since this is not a moving photo! Looking at the photo of the tree, I was expecting fruit flower shaped blossoms, not these tubes! Wonderful!!

I love that flowering tree...I don't remember ever seeing anything like it.
