Header Competition Season 2 # 10 - Anticipation

The header theme this week by Lanny is "Anticipation". Mac, Gail's ManLanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.  Lanny was really tricky this week with a subject that take imagination.

Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.

I was stumped for a while but choose the following to share. How about a deer anticipating the treat below the snow. Yes, it kept on snowing and after a slight thaw got another two feet of the white stuff.
Another thought was our annual trip on Thanksgiving Eve to see the Christmas lights. We did it late this year. Here is a house we never saw before with arched driveway lights.
We always come back to an over zealous light display in Kent. Here we have the back of the house and a Harley riding Santa.
The one I chose is of the front of this house with a place to drop off letters to Santa. We all "ANTICIPATE" his arrival. The count down was at 15 days.

You can go see what the others have to show above.

Hi All: Some questions about the header before they are asked. Yes, that is the Statue of Liberty near the door. Yes, that is The Grinch Clause near the letter box. There is oh so much to see.

I love that! We had a red squirrel who was motoring its way digging a path. I wasn't quick enough to get out the video, but they are fun in they snow!
P.S. -15 C. (-8ish F.) in our part of the world. I always feel sorry for them, even with winter coats.

Great anticipation. Its good to see so many lights, our neighbours normally go to town with Christmas lights but they are taking a year out from doing them so thanks for your neighbours lights.

Its amazing how much some invest in the decorations - and that is spirit to me.

Hope all is well. Dropping by to wish you happy holidays, and happy and healthy new year 2011. This is also an opportunity to thank you for all your visits to my blog and comments. Anna :)

There's quite a few houses near me that go a bit overboard with their lights. I'm sure planes can see them from 30,000ft.

Love your header picture; you did well photographing the lights! We have at least 2 feet of snow on the ground. I think it has snowed every day since December 1st.

Wow! That is quite a display.
And a LOT of snow you have there, too.
I love the shot of the "ostrich" deer. LOL
