Header Competition Season 2 # 27 - "Fire"

The theme this week is by Sandy which is "Fire".  Mac, Gail's ManLanny, Dave,Sandy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.

"Fire" is an interesting subject. I first thought of going of the grid and showing the fire that the Forsythia Bush shows. It even has a fire hydrant right in front of the line of bushes.

I love this little bloom and the way it lights up the stem.
Instead I decided to stay in the box and show some bond fires I have captured.
The smoke always follows me but I love a crackling fire.
And this view of the FIRE I chose for my header was my favorite.
See what the others have shown at the above links.

You have captured the movement of the flames in your header beautifully, and a perfectly set bonfire too if I may add.

I begged Dirt to let us have a bon fire this week but he said he didn't have enough gas to counteract the rain soaked things that are on the pile waiting for several dry days. So I was forced outside the box this week. I like your forsythia bushes wuth hydrant at gaurd! But I really like your fire, it makes me crave summer.

Your photos are outstanding--on and off the grid. Are this forsythia photos this year's? If so, I am jealous. We are nowhere near forsythia. The bonfires make me think of many happy times, so your banner and your post warm my heart. Gorgeous.

Those are all nice pictures, and your "in the box" idea was very original.
