The theme this week by Dave is "Garden Birds". Mac, Gail's Man, Dave,Kathy and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that.
This is a post I enjoy. Since I feed the birds in my yard I have a lot of varied visitors. Here are some of my bird visitors through the year. Lets look at the blackbirds that visit.
Cowbird
Red Wing Blackbird
Woodpeckers - Downy
Red Bellied
Flicker
The State bird -Cardinal
Blue Jay
So what I chose is the Bluebird.
See what the others show at the above links.

Your blog disappeared this morning!
I was upset about its vanishing...but I see that it has been under construction. :)) Very nice.
Of course, your photos of birds are outstanding. Love 'em!!!
All the birds are winners in my eyes, but the Bluebird is a fantastic bird.
Hard to pick a fav with all your great choices Tom. Great show.
That cardinal is a lovely bird, there is something very inspiring about them. aA really nice set
I really your bluebird header. We have the same birds visiting our feeders except for the Red Winged Blackbird. All of your pictures are wonderful.
Very Nice and I have the same ones but they don't pose for me :-) they only eat...
I mix peanut butter and oatmeal (fruit flavors and reg) together and the birds inhale it as fast as I put it out.
A good collection of colourful birds. You're lucky to see so many different kinds.
Its amazing the different colours you find in birds they are just so bright and cheerful. Great showing, I love the Bluebird in your header really great colours.
Oh, what beautiful, colorful birds, Tom! Terrific captures! Hope your week is going well!

I'm glad I'm not doing the header challenge, I would feel like a dismal failure this week, everyone's birds are so wonderful! I love your little bluebird in the header and all the rest of your visitors!
But really I do miss doing the challenge. I am glad I can still pop on to the blogging neighborhood every once in a while and see what you guys are up to.
These are amazing!!!!!!
We love our winter birds, but I miss the green.
Cheers from Cottage Country!
