The theme this week by Kathy  is "Best of Summer" Mac, Chris,Kathy, Gail and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and voting begins after that.

I wanted to share some photos that says summer to me. Here is one for certain a channel cat that gave me a great fight on my ultralight pole this week.  I was hoping it was a big walleye.
Then I thought of my neighbors lily. It is a beauty.
The Canada Geese have grown throughout the summer.
They are almost as big as the parents and are taking flying lessons.
I could not pass up the beauty of the summer lake.
I decided to use the Water Lily as my header for the "Best of Summer".
See what the others have to show at the above links.

That's a good sized water lily. I wish the one in our pond was that big

I'm in awe of your catch. I love to pull in a good-sized fish...especially on a pole or rod and reel that has some give to it...such a great feeling to pull in the big one.
Great catch!!!
