"FIFTY"

The theme this week is "Fifty" by Christine.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. Mac is leaving for two weeks on vacation.

Being an Engineer I tend to take things literally. My first thought was the new Fifty Dollar bill. It has many safety features , some you can see and some you can't. President Grant is the main feature.
The old fifty looks pretty plain when compared to the new one.
Two quarters adds up to fifty cents. I just happened to have an Ohio quarter in my pocket.
I also had a Maryland quarter in my pocket posted for Lew.
You can also get fifty in change, a quarter two dimes and a nickle. I certainly had a variety of change in my pocket.
See what the others show.

Old money and new money spends the same, but I love the look of the old money.
When I first saw the "new" bills, I thought they looked like Monopoly money!!
Sending smiles to you,
Jackie

Nice choice for the theme! I don't see many Grant's, but I do see the Maryland quarters!

Good thought. Never occurred to me to think fifty dollars--I rarely see it.

Nice theme choice, Tom. I had to research the Internet to see if it's legal to take pictures of money--apparently there are regulations! Your blog should skim under the radar, though, lol!
