"Tell a Tale in Pic's"

The theme this week is "Tell a Tale in Pic's" by Mac.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

So I took a walk around the bog. It was quite wet and to early for most plants. The bog was starting to put on a show. The birds were singing but stayed far away from the camera. It is intersting to see how the bog takes back it's area.
They have renamed the Kent Bog to honor a prestigious professor from Kent State University. His work in Botany is well known.
Take your choice to walk either path because it all leads back to the beginning.
Do not step off the boardwalk or this fate could await you.
This is the Tamarack Tree as it starts to rebuild its needle type leaves.
The Tamarack Tree forest could be seen above the bog. They have to be dominate to grow so they thrive in the bog.
I could hear something rustling the leaves in the undergrowth, it was a Garter Snake. So my little tale comes to an end with more trips to the bog in the later Spring.
See what the others show on my side bar.
