"The 2 of Us"

I am glad I have a significant other to show "The Two of Us".  

We just had our 50TH anniversary and the balloon man made a heart for us.

The result of the two of us are four children,

and eight grand children. They are sure a hansom group.

"Solid Color"

I do think there will be a lot of different photos this week. So, what comes in Solid Color? How about a red rose for valentines day with it's solid color.

A pink rose has a lot of solid pink color.

A white petunia has a lot of solid white.

The moon was an idea but a close look shows some color variances.

I had thought about the solid colr of our black squirrels.

"Vanity License Plates"

The theme this week by me is "Vanity License Plates". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I didn't get a lot of good shots but I loved this one. I saw this Ford Mustang and I guessed it belongs to Kathy. No, not our Kathy. She lives in the state  of Washington.

When I saw this one and thought it was really neat (KATHY'S PONY).

This is my grandsons plate. Do you think he likes to golf? His senior high golf team one the league. He helped when he (ONE PUTTED)

This is one from at twilight in a moving car. Did you ever have to make a telephone call (RING-A-LING), You don't hear that too often any more with all the available ring tones. This one may date me.

"Contrast"

The theme this week by Kathy is "Contrast". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

Contrast is an interesting theme. I would think there is little chance any similar post today. For my header I thought I would show the contrast between last weeks back yard to today. Last week we had snow cover and the deer were looking for the food. I love the contrast of the deer against the snowy woods. This is the mother looking back for her daughter.

Today in contrast we have rain and 60F with all the snow gone.

This first year youngster is in the back yard with her colors contrasting against the neighbors shed..

She is trying to get some grass from under the snow.

She ended up with a face full of snow.

"Skyline"

Skyline, oh what to show. The "Skyline" of Kent, Ohio is quickly changing. Construction abounds in the city with many new buildings. I decided to use this view of Acorn Alley II for my header. 

Across the street apartments are being built.

The Kent State Conference Center is also being built.

These building are complete and have tenants in them.

This is a view of the older area of town looking from the new construction on the right.

I thought of using this view of the Alps from my trip across them. this was a great "Skyline".

"Winter Setting Sun"

We have had Sun sometimes for the last few weeks. the bigger problem is where to see it set. I took this in the back yard.  This was the best I captured.

The best photo I got was from the TV on "Flying Alaska". I wish I could get this type of Winter Setting Sun.

The neighborhood has one open place to see the setting Sun.

The Sun disappears over the neighbors house.
