"Contrast"

The theme this week by Kathy is "Contrast". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

Contrast is an interesting theme. I would think there is little chance any similar post today. For my header I thought I would show the contrast between last weeks back yard to today. Last week we had snow cover and the deer were looking for the food. I love the contrast of the deer against the snowy woods. This is the mother looking back for her daughter.
Today in contrast we have rain and 60F with all the snow gone.
This first year youngster is in the back yard with her colors contrasting against the neighbors shed..
She is trying to get some grass from under the snow.
She ended up with a face full of snow.
See what the others show on my side bar.

Poor Fishing Guy. You thought you could earn doe from blogging, but this post didn't even fetch you one buck.

Crazy weather we've been having, eh? People were talking about tornadoes touching down around here, too. That's so unusual for this time of year.

You are lucky to have such visitors. We are visited by the neighbor's chickens, who like the cat food.

Great captures, Tom! What a cute little four-legged critter and how fun to be able to be to catch shots like these! Thanks for sharing!!

Hey Tom!
I just checked out Imac's and Craver's posts.
I have to say those deer are getting fed pretty well some place. They are quite plump. :)

You have captured several contrasts: then/now, warm/cold, wild/tame, mother/child. I note that the deer in your area have adapted well to suburban living.

Love the deer shots, they are timid around here. I think my dogs scares them away. Have a happy day!
