Children's Toys

The theme this week is "Children Toys"  by Mac.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I have some children toys on display in the computer room. These are a car I had and one I wish I had.
I had a 56 Chevy white over black. I painted it a solid 49 Ford red. How do you like this light box photo Mac.
I wish I had a 56 Corvette but only dreamed of it.
They were a classic body shape that is still a beauty today.

"Recent Photos"

The theme this week is "Recent Photos"  by Kathy.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I saw these ducks last week by the lake. They didn't look like mallards so I had to look them up. They are American Black Ducks. A first for me.
They were a family and not afraid.
The dark color helped to identify them.
I think they are a neat duck.

"Looking Down"

The theme this week is "Looking Down"  by me.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

So I thought a trip around the Kent Bog may give some looking down experiences. I found this while looking down, a fiddle head fern showing the fiddle head shape at the top.
But back to the beginning with a sign telling you where you are.
There is a boardwalk the whole way around the bog. You can go either way. I usually choose clockwise.
Okay feet don't fail me now.
While looking down you see the typical boggy condition, don't stray off the walkway.
You do see a lot of moss. I wonder if something burrowed into this clump?
The beauty of the blooms can be seen looking down.
The tamarack trees have lost their yellow needles and now have fresh green growth.
I'm not sure what this bell shaped flower is but I found it looking down. I hope you enjoyed your trip to the Kent Bog.

"Silhouettes"

The theme this week is "Silhouettes"  by Kathy.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

So I stayed on a fishing theme with a fish in silhouette.
I liked this father and son in silhouette.
I made a couple of fish cutouts for the wall.
Which way is it going.
This wood fish in silhouette is cool.

Shadows

The theme this week is "Shadows"  by Lew.  Mac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

Shadows can create a lot of effects in photography.  Here the Common White Dragonfly casts a shadow. Delicate wings but the shadow is there.
Here the tree shadow is on the sign.
My famous Male Turkey from my trip to Turkey ,a few years back, casts a shadow from behind.
Here is a red squirrel in the shadow.
Finally a double shadow with the snowball bush and the photographer in shadow.

"Any Sport That's Not Played With a Ball"

The theme this week is "Any Sport That's Not Played With a BallMac, Kathy, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I chose the sport of fishing, no balls used here. I tried a little fly fishing and caught a bluegill.
A Large Mouth Bass caught this lure.
A Walleye hit this plug.
This was a great day of bluegill fishing.
Lake Erie menace a Fresh Water Sheephead.
Sometimes you even get a turtle.
The camera allows you to make special capture while enjoying the sport of fishing.
