The theme this week by Craver is "Thinking". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
I had to do a lot of thinking about this one. What was Craver thinkig about when he came up with this one? We have a college in my town where there is a lot of thinking being done. So I thought how do you think? Well, you think with your brain. Here is a sculpture on campus of a big brain.
It is directly beside the road through campus.
You should be able to do a lot of thinking with a brain this size.

The theme this week by me is "What's Up There In the Sky?". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
Do you look to the sky to find what's up above you? Well, if you are in Ohio you may see the Goodyear Blimp doing a test flight. Here it is in Stow flying above the Kohl's building. If you are there on the right day you may be surprised.
Here is a fellow Buckeye on a flying wing. You need this motor to keep running or you have a problem.
You might see a hot air balloon on a sunny day up in the sky.
Look up to see the full moon at night.
Here's an emergency in the sky with a life flight.
How about those contrails in the sky. What's in front of them.
You might not look so high and see the electrical workers tying in some street lights.

The theme this week by Kathy is "From the Ground". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. The only features we have from the ground is snow right now in Ohio. In a few months we will have other features from the ground.
The first attraction I see from the ground is the purple crocus. The bees enjoy this occurrence.
This is a flowering bush that came from the ground in Mexico. It put on a beautiful show.
The peonies are another great show from the ground.
Here is a daffodil that put on a great show.
This yellow tulip put on a bright display.
The fish are biting when these trees put on their flowering show from the ground.

The theme this week by Lew is "Cold". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
This was the first time in my 70 years to see this occur. It is called a snow roller. You need a snow in cold weather that becomes wet, high winds and here's what happens. The wind rolls the snow just like you would when making a snowman.
You can see some in the back yard.
Sometimes they would fall over on end.
I liked this one with the neat shadow.
The wind would blow around the roller when in fell over.
This is the front yard and you can see a lot of small one.
I thought this one was filled by the snow after it stopped.

I decided to choose some of my favorite photo styles. Here is one of my favorite for my header. A Canadian sunrise at Horwood Lake Lodge.
Since I chose that one here is another morning on the lake shore. I love sunrise on the lake.
Here is my first encounters with the Loons in Canada. What a beautiful bird
The Great Blue Herons put on a wonderful show on Hudson Springs Park.
Here is a reflective Green Heron. I'm still not sure on the naming of this bird. Where is the green?
This is one of my favorite captures of an Osprey on Lake Hodgson with a big shad. I saw the complete capture from sky to water.
I enjoy the bumblebees on my Ohio Buckeye Tree.
They also enjoy my corn flower.
The pump house reflctionon Lake Hodgson on a quiet morning.

The theme this week by Christine is "Wild Animals". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.
This is one of my favorite photo subjects. I decided to show some of the wild animals that come into my back yard. I love the Spring when the fawn are coming into the yard to feed. I enjoy the spotted colors of the fawns.
As we get into the summer the fawns start to lose their spots. Here is a pair with one changed and the other still in spots.
I get a herd of deer coming into the back yard.
This deer was covered with snow which didn't bother her. She has a thick winter coat.
A big snowfall gives some interesting wild animal photos. I hope you spotted the deer.
The wild animals have to still forage in the winter. Here is a gray squirrel with a winter coat.
Here is a wild animal contrast with the rabbit hiding in the shade near the groundhog.
