Sky Watch Friday 9/5/08

Sky Watch Friday now has a new home and a life of it's own. Please check out the new sight and link in if you wish to participate. There were 373 people last week with beautiful Sky photos. You can link in from my side bar or above.

This is from the shore of beautiful Lake Hodgson on my drive to work.
I tried to get this shot from several views and I liked these two best.
I continued on and and the Sun rose on my drive.
It turned foggy in the mountains of PA and I was given this view. I thought very eerie.
Then I captured the reason behind the Sky. There is a green alien UFO if you follow the beam to the left from the Sun before the wavy contrail. Maybe Dewdrop can explain this one. LOL What a strange Sky for Sky Watch all in one morning.

Beautiful photo's!!

Craver Vii said...

I like this progression of photos. They're beautiful.

You realize of course, that the green spot is not a UFO. No, it is actually a cloud fart. That's quite a remarkable thing that you captured it, because clouds are exceptionally bashful. ;-)

Lovely series with the first shot simply incredibly beautiful, excellent composition, framing and exposure.

Thanks so much for your comment on my political post. There is no doubt that many Americans are hurting because of misguided policy. I listened to McCain last night and although he promised change I also heard making the Bush tax cuts permanent, new corporate tax breaks and more of the same broken health care system. I guess I'm still in the undecided column.
