Camera Critters # 40

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.

Our area is in the middle of a snow storm. We had 8" overnight and 4" more is predicted. Not many critters are moving but I did see two Black Squirrels playing in a tree but only for a short time. Here are the Pine Trees in the rear of next door decorated in snow.
I am showing some shots of a Cardinal in the Ohio Buckeye Tree from this summer.
This male was in full color and put on a neat show.
This is one of the most colorful birds.
This was an American Goldfinch from the neighborhood. He was in complete shade so was hard to capture really well.
He was a beautifull bird so I'm showing him the best I can.
There some neat photos of critters from around the world if you want to go out and visit.

I love the cardinals. It's wonderful to spot them in the branches or against the white snow.
I had so many finches this summer. They are pretty too as you say.

Stay warm in your winter wonderland.

I miss the Cardinals! We don't have them here in the PNW. Come by and tell me what kind of duck I photographed, I haven't a clue!

Your cardinal is such a lovely shade of red! Can't believe your goldfinch has retained those colors this late in the season!

I would love to see a cardinal. The red is so vibrant. Your goldfinches are so different to ours.

Wow! you are really getting dumped on!

You are spot on about the dificulty of shooting in the deep shade. Even when we get the shot frequently there is a lot of digital noise, very pretty pictures of the cardinals and goldfinches never the less.

Gorgeous!!!! I adore our backyard birds but I haven't the patience to photograph them, usually.

Great captures. Thanks, FG!

Hi Tom, The bulk of the storm has missed us, so I can't get any snow scenes, but your photo reminds me what it is like. The cardinal photos are outstanding.

Our winter weather advisory was cancelled. I guess the storm with more north of us then expected. We did have ice this morning, luckily we didn't have anywhere we had to be!!
Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
