The theme this week by Lew is "Bridges". Mac, Kathy, Craver, Lew, Christine, Wiggers and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

Here is one of the main bridges in Kent. It is the Main Street Bridge across the Cuyahoga River which separates the East and West sides of the town.
Here is a view from the West side of the river.
This is looking up river through the bridge.
This is the newest Kent bridge. It is one bridge North of Main Street and is the Fairchild Avenue Bridge while under construction.
It is now complete and opened to traffic.
See what the others show on my side bar.

Tom, I like that header a lot. It has a nice way of drawing the viewer in with those tracks. I've never seen one like that with the flat road on top, and different passages underneath. Cool!

Great looking header Tom... a nice looking bridge that looks very well built. The new bridge looks fine but I do like the older brick and stone ones.

Love that bridge! There's something about a brick bridge; it has a unique charm, and this bridge is beautiful.

Interesting design for this bridge, with arches for the river and a square for the tracks.

I really like the Main Street Bridge. It just seems to have much more character than the newer bridge.
