"SHOP WINDOW"

The theme this week by Mac  is "Shop Window".  Mac, Chris,Kathy, Rich  and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

I told Mac we were at a disadvantage in the states. England has some great little shops. My only chance was Acorn Alley in Kent. This is a new downtown developement that has a lot of little shops. I went down this morning and took some photos.

This is across the street which is Empire Gifts. It has a neat shop window.

McKay Bricker has a neat shop window with Christmas ornements displayed.

Connected is Kent State Gallery which has an art display in the shop window.

The Works has a lot of gifts at the front of Acorn Alley.

This is the shop window in Acorn Alley of Home Markets. Too bad the "O" in the OPEN sign was burnt out.

"CHAOS"

The theme this week by Kathy  is "Chaos".  Mac, Chris,Kathy, Rich  and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.

Chris sure picked a tough one this week. Hurricane Sandy  coming up the coast has caused Chaos in Ohio. We have had rain for five days so all the photo opts were dark and dreary. My header is my granddaughter coming for a visit. 

 We had Halloween on Saturday and the conditions were bad. People still came out and there was no parking.  So I did some drive by photos.

Here is a of photo of some revelers running across the street. 

Even the moose at Rays Place got a little chaos.

The only chaos we had was on the deck. Not really much damage from the rain and high winds.

"LOST"

The theme this week by Kathy  is "LOST".  Mac, Chris,Kathy, Rich  and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. 

I had thought to be lost and the woods to be my theme but then I thought of the fact that the trees had lost their color and leaves. Where did they go? Well some are on the water and I decided to use this one as my header. They were certainly LOST. They were lost from the trees and had lost their way and color.

The beauty of the shoreline is lost from just last week.

The leaves are afloat and i captured them as they passed by.

Sometimes they traveled together.

Sometimes they carried some of their color.

But they were certainly lost and travelling aimlessly on the lake.

SYMBOLS

The theme this week by Rich  is "Symbols choice by Rich".  Mac, Chris,Kathy, Rich  and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that. 

This was an interesting choice by Rich. I decided to use this mural on the side of an art gallery. There are Symbols throughout the mural.

I looked around the area and how could I not show the Symbol of Kent State University established in 1910.

This is a Peace Symbol on a house near my home.

This is a display of symbols along the Cuyahoga River.

I thought this one was pretty cool. This is a hard place to be doing these Symbols.

The theme this week by me is "YELLOW". Mac, Chris, Kathy, Rich and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT on Wednesdays and voting begins after that.


This is a great season to see Yellow. My header is the Yellow (double knock out ) roses I grow. They are puting on quite the show right now.

 It a rainy day today and the roses have the results.

They are going to be blooming for a while.

The trees are showing a lot of color. This shows the amount showing yellow verses the ones not changed.

The water is ablaze with Yellow from the trees.

This is the Yellow leaves adorning the red ones.

 I grow a giant blue hostas and you can see the transition through the Yellow on the leaves. The hostas  leaves are 15" long.

This was an interesting choice this week. Twelve, how do you show it? I tried to get some views of twelve. I decided to use this Canada Geese photo for my header.
