Camera Critters #49

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.

The American Robins have come back strongly to the area. Spring is getting closer.
Click on the photo to get a better view.
I saw a different colored one in the field, a slate grey color with a white breast. It may be a female Towhee. The coloring truly stood out from the rest.
I think the American Robin has great eyes.
Here one sits in a tree and wants to talk to it's friends. The call of the American Robin is neat as it sings in the tree, watch the tail action. It is a short one.

This was my first video to share, I hope you enjoyed it.

nice video FG. That robin song is just a little like our Chaffinch song.

You certainly have more robins than we do, but I have seen one and heard a couple more. It is still a little early for them, though.
And I had never stopped to look at the white circle around the eye before! Thanks for pointing it out!

My robins are shy so far. I've seen a lot from other places, though. Yours are lovely, and I don't know why the one is different, but it is also good looking.

Glad you are still making good progress after your operation. It is amazing how long it takes to recover from surgery..And I just had my first robin Friday...I enjoyed the video clip.. Michelle

I'm with you..I love those robins and their songs. We have some major fatty robins this year showing up in our yard..where ever they spent their winter days must have had some good eats!!

Cute video..a bird tale of a bird's tail!

I like the viseo Tom. They have a great song. That ring around the eye makes them look very distinguished.

Yuppers, the critters are telling us by their migration that spring is on the way. Thankfully! Great captures, as always.

Robins are definitely a good sign that spring is almost here. When we got home, we were thrilled to have some crocus in bloom... We'll take pictures I'm sure this week.

We noticed several dozen robins on the lawn under the crab apple trees picking up litter left by starlings that decimated the freeze dried fruit. The robins got all the stuff they dropped which was a lot.

I think the white frontal area is a sign of old age and is fairly common on most birds in the spring. It might be interesting to see if this one returns. I suspect it will not.

Ha Ha..That's an interesting video you posted. Especially the first half of the video.

The image just before the video has come out nicely.

Are these the migrating robins or the ones that stay around all winter? I thought they all migrated...live and learn!

Haven't seen any robins around here yet, but it was 61 degrees here, so spring might be around the corner!
