The first one looks like asphalt.
The second.....umm..well...it looks like vinyl. Maybe your boat seat?

How wonderful to come here this week without YKW Tom. I breath a sigh of relief. Now I see that I am going to have problems with Gaelyn in his place!! Grrr!!

1. is ice, maybe on a windshield or something blue.
2. is a pumpkin, maybe frost bit'in?

The first picture is the dirt left behind after the kids have had their baths.

I think #1 is ice on asphalt that's been broken up and some of it's dirty.
#2 looks like a scraped pumkin maybe under plastic or an oven bag.
My first guess was seashells under rippled water.
I'll guess coal dust and frozen fish.
I would put a photo on my header like you and i-mac, but I'm not sure how to do it.

Wow you people really struggle while I am not around!
This week is soooo easy.
1)
Tom this looks like frozen precipitation one some type of dark painted metal. Perhaps a car or something.
2)
Obviously this is plant material. Hostas perhaps. Frost bitten for sure.
