Header Competition Season 2 # 19 "Tracks"

The header theme this week by myself is "Tracks".  Mac, Gail's ManLanny, Dave and I have a little contest to show a new theme header each week. We now post anytime before 4 PM EDT and start the voting after that.

Darla, Martha and Tom W are on a break. Come back as soon as you are able my friends.

This was my theme so I had to think of what tracks meant to me. I thought of train tracks but saw no trains. Then I thought of excavator tracks. They run on tracks and were at the new bridge construction.

I decided to show the two pieces of equipment that were there. I like the blade on this one for snow removal.
Then I thought of all the tracks in my back yard. Between me, the deer, the squirrels and the rabbits there are a lot of tracks.

So here are the deer making the tracks.
This is a scared deer making tracks, maybe this is where the term "high tailing it" arrived in our language.
This shot as the girl hit the woods was my favorite and became my header.

You can see what the others have shown above.

Oh to look out at dear in the back garden. You are very fortunate to be able to get these great shots.

Should obviously say `deer` not `dear` sorry.

At least her tail was clean. Hope she wasn't scared by the bulldozers.

Okay FG, when I first clicked over here, I seen the header and then the competition description and thought you'd lost your mind because all I seen was a deer behind. LOL
Great shots! You know I love the deer pics!

imac is funny! Love your header this week, of course, anything having to do with nature is 'deer' to my heart! Great choice, as always. ~karen

My self-imposed rule for my blog photos only being current ones, kept me from dragging out the photos of last spring clearing for the Hippy Hot Hut and the visiting excavator - I'm a big equipment girl, Dirt loves it to which makes me wonder sometimes why we dont have big equipment, but then, he is also a mechanic and knows what it "costs" to maintain things. There is nothing like the smell of diesel and dirt - now that is the smell of spring!

You have lots of deer tracks! It looks like our sheep tracks, are you a deerherder?

They can make tracks fast when spooked! We had a little one spend a couple of days in our yard last summer - just trying to find a shady spot.

Hello Tom, good to see you again. These are my husband's type of toys, massive big track driven machines. I've moved countries (twice I think) since I last visited. Have a great day. Jo

What a charming look at different tracks. That white blob of cotton wool on the deer is just too cute!

You have some wonderful photos for this theme, but I really like the one you chose as your header.

Love you deer shots. I'm going to find a recent email that I got and send it to you by email. Take care.
Joann

P.S. Jack spotted deer prints in the earth around our two birdfeeders this past week. Our deer visitors are so smart that they look both ways before crossing the street after leaving our bird feeders.
