Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.
I saw two donkeys in a field and decided to take their picture. This was the baby following his mother.
The mother was going to train the baby.
She said follow me and see what I do.

"Animals are just wonderful." Yes indeed, and donkeys are the most wonderful of all animals.
Whenever I spent hours grooming and cleaning donkeys they would always go straight to the dust bath.
Love the pictures and your commentary.
Thanks for your nice visit, Fishing Guy. Can you send me a link to that scary story? Thanks.
Too cute!!! Great photos of the donkeys.
Animals are wonderful. I learn something new every day. They are full of amazement, wonder, and delight. Sometimes just pure fun like your post.

What a great series of photos! We have wild burros in our area and I never get tired of watching them. Thanks for sharing these terrific shots!
This is a GREAT and FUN post! You captured something really special here. I love it!
There is a farm up the road from us that has donkeys in their field and every time we drive by them the kids love to look at them.
I did not expect all that action great sk
Wonderful photo story! animals are so fun! Also, Bob says "hi"...
I love such story pictures, I feel like a child, staring at them and interpreting the story. Thanks for sharing this. :)
I love donkeys! They're such funky guys...not handsome like horses, but unique. We used to have some on our ranch. Great photos! I love them rolling in the dirt.
Great story well told and shown.
Nice series of the donkey Fishing Guy!
Donkeys played an important role in Biblical times - and will always be valuable to Man.
I love donkeys. The little ones look especially cute.
Oh geesh that is too cute
Wonderful photos once again FG. You are excelling with all of these animal pics! :)
Excellent shots of the donkeys, and a dust bath looks so good.
I can't imagine humans taking dust baths but those donkeys sure seem to like it. Last May in Teddy Roosevelt National Park Jack and I saw huge bison taking dust baths. Did you end up with a dusty camera lens?
I love this storyboard. I love watching horses roll in the dirt. Never seen donkies do this, so great to see.
Wow it's really a wonderful series!! ^^
Beautiful! :) I love the photos you took of the donkeys.
EE whos a pretty boy then!!
Great captures.
pop and see my CC at Beamish Museum.
Donkeys are very amusing and useful little animals. Pappy
This is so cool! The donkeys are really kicking up some dust! It has been so wet around here that a donkey would have to roll in the mud.
Our 'gills are in full spawn now. I spent all morning yesterday on the lake. Along with a nice catch I spotted a mature bald eagle but it spotted me first and I never got the camera into play.
It's wonderful to watch mommy and baby animals. Cool photos and captions that tell a story.
Fun Post! Cheers, Klaus
Hi just found your blog from Dina's Jerusalem Hills Photo Blog. Love the Donkey pics. In my area there is a problem with coyotes killing livestock. A local cattle farm put some Donkeys in their pastures. I heard it was to scare off the coyotes. Don't know if it really works or not.
Loved your post about the rivers too.
Those are so cute...
That is so darn cute!!
Whenever we give my aunt's horses a bath they immediately go roll in the dirt. They just like it like that :)
I just love donkeys... And you pictures are wonderful!
Fishing guy, I woulodn't have known what they were doing! Now I will! :D
if we had the room we would totally add a couple of donkeys to the little petting zoo we call home. They have the sweetest dispositions :)
Really fun shots!
Hey Fishing Guy, I just read all your scary stories from Oct. 2007. Phew, sure glad you survived them.
Great pictures. Hope you like the joke..
The Preacher's Donkey
A man bought a donkey from a preacher. The preacher told the man that this donkey had been trained in a very unique way, (being the donkey of a preacher). The only way to make the donkey go, was to say, "Hallelujah!" The only way to make the donkey stop, was to say, "Amen!"
The man was pleased with his purchase and immediately got on the animal to try out the preacher's instructions. "Hallelujah!" shouted the man. The donkey began to trot. "Amen!" shouted the man. The donkey stopped immediately. "This is great!" said the man. With a "Hallelujah," he rode off very proud of his new purchase.
The man traveled for a long time through some mountains. Soon he was heading toward a cliff. He could not remember the word to make the donkey stop. "Stop," said the man. "Halt!" he cried. The donkey just kept going. "Oh, no... Bible!....Church!...Please Stop!!" shouted the man. The donkey just began to trot faster. He was getting closer and closer to the cliff edge. Finally, in desperation, the man said a prayer. "Please, dear Lord. Please make this donkey stop before I go off the end of this mountain, In Jesus name, AMEN."
The donkey came to an abrupt stop just one step from the edge of the cliff.
"HALLELUJAH!", shouted the man.
They are very pretty donkeys I must say FG, you captured all so well :D
