Sky Watch Friday 8-8-08

Sky Watch Friday has a new home and a life of it's own. Please check out the new sight and link in if you wish to participate. There were 335 people last week with beautiful Sky photos. You can link in from my side bar or above.

I had a great week of cloudy Skies. No storms but a great powerful show. I caught this bird in the tree, I think it is a young woodpecker.
I captured this while doing the horse shoot yesterday.
This was the duck pond that had some neat clouds.
I am going to do a post next week on Triangle Lake but this shot was so neat I wanted to share it today.
I do hope you enjoyed the Sky show.

You certainly DID have beautiful skies last week! No rain, though? It feels like Central Ontario has gotten a little rain every day ...but maybe it only seems like that. LOL

Have been dealing with my RA in my hands. The chemotherapy drug I am taking for it doesn't get rid of the pain so it is hard to do much typing.

All are beautiful but my fovorite is the first one.

Thanks for sending Tricia my way... and calling me an "expert". I don't consider myself an expert, but I certainly love everything about weather and clouds. What she posted was actually a sun dog in a wispy result of a contrail that had been absorbed into the atmosphere as a cirrus cloud.

By the way, I am a female... ;O)

Nice series of pictures. I love having animals in the sky watch photos

oh yeah - that last one is just wonderful. Reflection shots are hard because there are so many variables (fish, wind) that can break up your shot, and you have to be really patient. Thanks, that was beautiful.
