Butterflies and Bees

I had only seen a few butterflies this year and the Painted Lady was a great find so when I saw another butterfly on the sedum I ran and got my camera. I think this one is a Meadow Fritillary. It is a lot smaller then the Painted Lady but really looks good in its own colors.
Since I had the camera at ready I shot a few Bumble Bees.

This one was really covered in pollen all over doing its job.
Here is a Honey Bee working the sedum.
This is my forth butterfly I was able to get this year. I was kidding Klaus of Virtua Gallery today because he had a post of 21 beautiful butterflies today and I was happy with this one. Check out his slide show and display of butterflies.

Maybe Klaus found a butterfly garden. Like you, I've only seen about 4 different kinds in my area.
I've never seen the one you have pictured today. It's really pretty. Nice pictures!

Nice captures! I just posted a shot of a Sulphur butterfly, there are so many variations of Sulphurs that I hesitate to be more specific.

Thanks for taking the time to research your Meadow Fritillary, they to can be the very devil to identify.

Oh, FG, these are exquisite!

You got another one on me. I haven't seen the Meadow Fritillary yet. I like the 2nd bee (on the pink sedum) the best.

Four butterflies is more than I have gotten! All mine are flying, which doesn't make for terrific photos. I actually got two or three sitting still in a butterfly exhibit at the botanical garden last week, but never just outside. The sedum is a great backdrop for these photos!
