Wednesday Potpourri - Misc.

I am going to show a true potpourri of photos today.

My saying that the deer always look back was proved again last week. She has her tail in flag position to leave but still had to check on me.
Mac did an arty post today and I'm going to also. I call this "Looking Through the Queen". Do you know why?
I always like to have photos of bonfires. My son started a big fire when I visited. He has a woods with a lot to burn.
This was a visitor to the fire pit coals before the fire started. I thought this was a neat pose. He didn't "croak" because we took him away from the fire.
There was one morning when the dew was all over the spider webs. The construction on top of this bush was pretty cool. You can see the hole for the home on the left center.
I do hope you enjoyed my mixed up post.

I like the subjects of each of these photos, but I must admit I'm not sure why you call your arty post "Looking Through the Queen".

Handsome frog.

Looking Through The Queen has me stumped.

Magic Tom.

Maybe something to do with a Looking Glass or Mirror??

Great photos, Tom. Glad you got that toad out of the way BEFORE the bonfire.

Looking through the Queen?????? I have no idea. Of course, I'm not very artsy.

I love the deer! And I have always been a fan of bon fires... whenever we go out fishing, we always try to have one if possible!!

BTW!... I'm finally on the way out to the post office... =)

I love bonfires, too. I told Roger the other day I would like to have one...just love sitting by a fire any where, any time. Even in hot weather.

These are fun. I love the frog. He's a real ham. And those webs? Must have been a spider conference.

Love these Tom. I am glad the froggie didn't croak. :) That spiderweb is really lovely.

I cannot think of anything I like more than sitting around a fire. Here in Africa one is so much part of our tradition when we are in the bush. It is the heart of everything. Best of all is when you have finished eating and sit around it under the stars telling stories. How I miss it!!

For all you wondering about the name on the second photo. I was doing a macro of the center of the Queen Anns Lace and had focused through the flower to the stems of the blooms.

I was out taking pictures of fawns in my yard today. Two of them playing and eating my grass.
In my experience the deer do always look back before they run.
Those kinds of spider webs were always in the bushes where I parked at my school - creepy.
I'm here late but I did know the Queen's Anne Lace. I kept reading the comments and nobody knew and got to yours and you had already told. :) I probably knew because I had been taking pictures of it too recently.
Nice set of potpourri shots!

LOVE the spiderwebs and the Queen Anne's Lace! (Possibly my favorite wildflower--maybe because we don't have any here--but that would be a tough call.)

I'm feeling pretty ADHD these days with the (wonderful) heat, guests and home repairs.
I love the varied posts!!!
