Camera Critters # 71

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.

I was driving on some back roads with the grand kids as evening approached. I had just told them to keep their eyes open for White-tailed Deer when what should appear along side of the road. I saw one at first but soon realized there were two. I stopped the car and started to get some shots.
They stopped feeding and kept a close eye on me.
The one in the ditch could have disappeared just by feeding.
Another car started to approach our position and the deer decided it was too crowded for them. Take a close look at the one on the right as it makes its leap with its good bye flag up. It looks like it is sailing along.
The Ohio White-tailed Deer are well feed.

I love photos of deer and yours are wonderful. You are lucky to see the critters that you do just driving along. That's what I don't get as a city slicker -- but I can dream! :D

Great photos! I don't think deer are too keen on humans and rightfully so :)

Deer are such beautiful creatures. It's always fun to see them bounding with incredible athletic ability.

They are so lovely, they are such shy creatures-we have deer here but they are too far away to capture.

What a delightful surprise! It's been a while since I've driven through deer country and happened on a scene like this, but I remember such events from my younger days. Just lovely photos here ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

The look on his face is so regal. I wish we had half the critters you get your way here.

Love your deer pictures. We both posted about deer on the same day. We have lots around here and see them every evening when we walk around our subdivision. They come out of the woods and graze in the fields around us.

What a lovely sighting Tom. They do look fat and well fed on all that lucious grass. :)

That's to bad that the other car scared them away.

Great captures! They really do move effortlessly.

That was a good encounter, Tom. The deer certainly make life more interesting. The only trouble with me is that I am basically photographing the same three rack bucks over and over, but that will change soon when the rut kicks in.

These are great shots, Tom. So neat that you get to share moments like this with your grandkids!

Thanks for your comment today. I love the name you gave the bug--that's exactly the type of description I was hoping for. :)
