Just Horsing Around

I was going by the stables and the colts where out playing in the pen. A roll in the dirt for one mom and one child. The colt got up and started to play around. He must not know that dust is not good for the photographer.
The dust settled and the fancy colt was eating grass. I never noticed his top rear haunch mark before. Is that front marking looking more like a fish tail and a bird front?
The mom took a final roll in the dirt.
The plain colt was getting some good eating from the edge of the pen.
They decided to graze together for a short time.
The fancy colt decided to get a drink of mom's milk.
Check the look on fancy, mom says 'what now son'.
He is a fancy horse from either side.
This is my update of some great young horses that are so photogenic.

Horsing around are we? - Well - as long as you deliver images like that, you're good to horse some more!
Cheers, Klaus

Hi Fishing Guy,
Just checking to see what you've been up to. A lot I see!
Nice shots of the ponies - certainly growing as is your garden.

Horses are great art and photoart subjects. They have such expression and symmetry. Pappy

Horses seem to like to play around the same as cats and dogs!
Thanks for the visit, Tom.

Wow, Fishing Guy, that little fancy paint colt is a heartbreaker! And quite valuable too. Markings like that bring top dollar and he looks nicely put together to boot, colors or not. I bet the other colt will "bloom" with some very interesting markings as he grows up. He might have some Skywatch clouds of his own to show! Have a great weekend! Bonnie

I miss my horses. When I got married, I had to give away my horses (I couldn't bring myself to sell them because they were family). Josh has promised me that once the moving is over -- as in we're actually settled -- he'll get me horses again. Oh but I miss them.

Your photos reminded me yet again how there are still a few more years to wait.

Blessings!
Lacy

Those were fun. There's one place I'd like to take some pictures of horses but it's just off the freeway as I pass a ranch and... I don't think that's a good idea.
