Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.
I was driving on some back roads with the grand kids as evening approached. I had just told them to keep their eyes open for White-tailed Deer when what should appear along side of the road. I saw one at first but soon realized there were two. I stopped the car and started to get some shots.
They stopped feeding and kept a close eye on me.

I love photos of deer and yours are wonderful. You are lucky to see the critters that you do just driving along. That's what I don't get as a city slicker -- but I can dream! :D
wow how lucky you are!
Beautiful and adorable series of pictures.

quite alert beautiful scenery
Great photos! I don't think deer are too keen on humans and rightfully so :)
Great captures, Fishing Guy!
They are beautiful critters. The were really alert with their ears perked up.
Deer are such beautiful creatures. It's always fun to see them bounding with incredible athletic ability.
They are so lovely, they are such shy creatures-we have deer here but they are too far away to capture.
What a delightful surprise! It's been a while since I've driven through deer country and happened on a scene like this, but I remember such events from my younger days. Just lovely photos here ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
The look on his face is so regal. I wish we had half the critters you get your way here.
Great photo's Tom.
I just love watching the deer.
Take care and enjoy your weekend.
I love to watch them bound away flashing their white tails.
Great captures, Tom. I especially like that goodbye flag in the last photo.
Love your deer pictures. We both posted about deer on the same day. We have lots around here and see them every evening when we walk around our subdivision. They come out of the woods and graze in the fields around us.
What a lovely sighting Tom. They do look fat and well fed on all that lucious grass. :)
The Deer are such good looking animals. It is a priveledge to have them around.Good pictures.
Blessings,Ruth
They are beautiful and look bigger than our mule deer. What a nice treat for you and the grandkids.
That's to bad that the other car scared them away.
nice gorgeous deers.
Cute deers~! They look a bit different to the springboks we have here in South Africa.
Gorgeous animals - lovely shots
Lovely deer shots FG. Not a species I will get close to on my patch!
Great captures! They really do move effortlessly.
That was a good encounter, Tom. The deer certainly make life more interesting. The only trouble with me is that I am basically photographing the same three rack bucks over and over, but that will change soon when the rut kicks in.
Love the deer shots-and the new header.
These are great shots, Tom. So neat that you get to share moments like this with your grandkids!
Thanks for your comment today. I love the name you gave the bug--that's exactly the type of description I was hoping for. :)
Lovely shot of these deers, its nice to see that you managed to get these cool shots before they bolted.
I get the feeling they enjoy you as much as you enjoy them.
Nice catches!
Beautiful pictures, Tom.
They were posing for you.
Nice deer. You're lucky you can take their pict.
