My World # 46

This is my posting for the My World Meme. It is hosted by Klaus, Ivar, Sandy, Wren, Louise and myself. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive.

We went to the Water Street Tavern to hear a friend and musician Guy Pernetti. He did a neat set of songs. The venue has no cover charge to hear the talent performing. Guy lives up the street from us and is a very nice person. My wife and her friend picked the second set of songs he played.
I love his work on the steel guitar. Can you see the signs on the stage that we are in Kent?

This is a short video which shows his steel guitar work.
Guy sings his version of "Blue Bayou".

I hope you visit some other great sights around the world.

Glad you had a great night out with your wife to see your neighbor perform. Steel guitars----the father of steel guitars, Les Paul, died recently. He was in his '90's. I remember his with his first wife, Mary Ford. I guess she died some years after they divorced---back in the '70's.

Anyway, good post Fishing Guy.

I never sing with a live band before although I enjoy singing on KaraOK. It will be great to try once in a life experience right in front of public audience. How wonderful you enjoy..

Nice post of your local entertainment flavor.

You know I love your doe-header. What a shot; there she stands outside the fence licking her lips dreaming about all of the good things on the other side LOL!

How fun! I love the steel guitar and fondly remember Albeno Ray (probably spelled that wrong) and his talking steel guitar.

Nice pictures, Tom! Glad you had a good time hearing your friend playing the guitar.
About videos, with my classic Blogger template it's not possible to upload videos to Blogger: there is the option, but it doesn't work!
