Sky Watch Friday # 59

Sky Watch Friday with the new format. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were a lot of people with beautiful Sky photos last week. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post.

I don't always have blue skies when on the lake but as long as there is no lightning I'm game to be out there. Click on the photo and see the Cormorants setting on the big orange buoys and a seagull on the aerator platform.
Have fun seeing some great skies.

Hi Fishing Guy,
A boat in the middle of the lake - it's got to be good anytime - even under overcast skies!

My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.

Interesting catch of the birds decorating your lake!

Don't suppose it has to be sunny to go fishing.

Pretty cool - so is the deer and especially the Black Squirrel below!

A sky doesn't have to be blue to be pretty!
Happy fishing.

Fun to see the cormorants on the buoys. Actually most of the summer our skies looked much like the ones in your photo (until recently) but all of the sudden we've got clear blue skies and sunshine making it HOT just as kids return to school. Isn't that always the way.
Hugs and blessings,

These clouds are getting to be all too familiar. The air has a hint of fall too.
This lake looks like a good fishing spot.
Happy SWF.

I like cloudy skies just as much as clear ones. They have so much dimension.

Lovely scenery and it looked like a storm coming. It's been raining heavily here for the last couple of days. Have a nice weekend.

I thought cormorants were strictly shore birds - a fresh water pond now and again, but salty sea preferred. Learn something new every day! Nice SWF pic!

Cool picture! I love almost any picture with water and I like the deer in your header photo too!!!

Looks serene, gray skies and all. And like you said, as long as there isn't any lightning, it's great to be out on the lake.

Truly wonderful photo, for the first second I thought it was b&w then the contrasting red of the buoys and the subtle green of the trees became apparent. Very fine detail with much to see and enjoy, and, of course, you know how I love a water shot!

How serene and placatory! It must be wonderful to sit in the middle of this lake on a little raft :o)

I'm with you about being there as long as there isn't lightning. The lake is just happiness (even if we derive different types of pleasure from it.) And all the birds you see are wonderful.

Blue skys are a pretty scene but nature treats us to so many different views to enjoy, cormorants and a lovely decorative accent for this view.
