Wednesday Potpourri - Stumped

I was really stumped for a post for my Wednesday Potpourri so I went for a walk through a small Kent Park. All of a sudden I was no longer stumped for a post.

It was right before me. As the monster opened its mouth I turned and got one photo before running. How do you like the bite on this one? Can you see the eye and mouth? Everywhere I turned they were just popping into view.
Some were old.
Some were new.
Some were strange.
Some you knew they had seen better days. (Sorry this one turned on me.)
It was a fun trip back through the swampy area.

Cool Tom! I like the next to last one. Looks like two people sitting with one putting his arm around his girl!

Nice post.

I did see the eye and the mouth, but not till you mentioned them.

In your post of 'what is it'--I didn't see it till today but would never have guessed in a million years.

I have those days too. Isn't it nice when something comes to you?

Nice stump critters. The intertwining roots look like a very lovers embrace. Great captures.

If there is one thing I really love and that is stupms of wood like this Tom. They have so much character. I notice you see faces and forms in them as I do. In clouds as well.

Great shots as always.

Those tree stumps that seem to be embracing are very interesting. They are like mythological figures.

Stumps make me think "root canal," and suddenly I understand the pain people feel when they have it done.

If I see what you're looking at, that mouth one also looks like it's the head of an eagle, at least the top part.

I like the commiserating stumps, sitting arm in arm.

Neat! I'd hate to run across that first one in the dark-it does look like a monster.
