What Can Go Wrong, Will.

Things do go bad on a 1994 GMC Sierra truck. The truck I use was my Dad's, the Original Fishing Guy, and the reason for my love of fishing. Dad was a sportsman and was good at his passions. He was one of the best fisherman on Lake Arthur in PA. They refer to the lake as the dead lake because people don't catch fish from the lake. People used to follow my Dad to see where his spots were because he caught so many fish. When he died a few years ago he passed the truck he used to tow his boat to me. That is one of the main reasons I want to keep the truck.

I got my truck from the repair shop. I had a broken brake line and had to have all the brakes changed. I guess it's only money when things break down. As you get older you don't like to crawl around on the ground like you did when you were a kid. I used to work on cars when I was younger. It actually was something that is fun. It's not fun anymore so you have to pay to get it repaired. Well it's back on the road and running the best it has in a while.

I will be going on vacation for a week so the posts may be sporadic for a while. I will try to visit my friends when possible and post when I can. I enjoy the visiting and the visit from the blogging world.

Fishing Guy.. sorry to hear of your expense. but it is only a 94,that truck has many more years left in it.. We are working on my husbands 71.. I keep telling him that it makes me feel pretty good, as it is the same age as I am and I think I held up alot better than it did..lol.. Have a great trip..

Hope you enjoy your vacation. My old body won't do what it used to either. I think we should have our good body in our retirement years so we can enjoy doing things when we have time.

Your Dad's truck is worth keeping and repairing. Now forget the truck expense and just enjoy that vacation. Have lots of fun and catch some fish. And yes, the Celtics caught the championship and my son-in-law is happy. Happy Vacation!

Happy vacation, Fishing guy!

I have a 1994 VW van so this story could be written by me. I also loved to fix my car when I was younger, but it`s not fun anymore.
