Squirrels Do Know How To Pose

I was at work going to the car to go home and there was a Robin, Blue Jay and a Grey Squirrel all playing in the opening behind the parking lot. The Blue Jay was not cooperative but the other two stayed to show off. The Grey Squirrel must have been looking for something to eat and posed with its tail in the air.
I caught this Grey Squirrel in my back yard on a stump. This stump completely gave up this year and is gone.
Here is a female Black squirrel eating a toadstool. How daintily she poses while eating.
This is a Black Squirrel in my friends yard that was feeding on his acorns.
Check out the look this Fox Squirrel that me as it posed at the golf course. Okay mister, what's up.
I even caught a Chipmunk on the front porch by my wives Fall decorations. This was the day I photographed all the birds in the Buckeye Tree.
He sat there for quite a while before taking off. I had been putting Buckeyes on the window sill and it would come up and take them off when it was quiet. It was easier for him then competing in the yard with the bigger squirrels. Do you see the way he is posing and watching me out of the back of his eye. They have very good peripheral vision.
Those are my posing squirrels for today.

G'Day!
Love all of yuor images... It is such a beautiful time of the year in your part of the world. Spring has truely sprung in my little corner.
We have had dreadful periods of drought, it is nice to see fresh green leaves. For now we have green grass, hopefully we will get more good rain.
Cheers, Julie

Awww! So cute. They DO know how to pose, don't they. Even the bird in the top photo. ;-)

That's quite an assortment of squirrels. I'm used to seeing an area dominated by one type.

Great capture of these little guys!

I'm not a lover of squirrels, but you surely made them look endearing.

Love the squirrels.
Especially the chipmunk. You just reminded me of something that happened a while ago with a chipmunk. Maybe you'll see it on the blog.
Have you ever seen a white squirrel? I haven't but I've heard of them. Maybe one day they'll show up in your yard. You seem to have all the others. tee hee

The squirrels and chipmunks did pose very prettily for you! I have a squirrel that knocks at my kitchen window now and i hand him a cracker or piece of bread.

Wonderful! I just adore that black squirrel! And the chipmunk! It is so unfair that we do not have chipmunks here....I wish I knew why they don't live down here.

I am still amazed by the black squirrels and the chipmunks are cute! We just have plain drab squirrels here!

Hi Tom. Great critter pics. I LOVE the chipmunk. I haven't managed to get a shot of one of those yet. Don't see very many. I saw one out at my grandfather's in the pear tree, no camera in hand, and I had one run across the alley in front of me last week, again, no camera!
Take care
Lisa

Loved the squirrels-but the chipmunk is my favorite. I love to watch the little guys raiding my bird feeder when they catch it free of birds.

I just LOVE your black squirrels! And that chipmunk looks like he's in no danger of starving this winter!

The squirrels are always a laugh to watch. For some reason we only have the brown ones. On parks they are pretty tame and people feed them, but they do also live out in the woods.

Happy week end and halloween!
