Camera Critters #35

Camera Critters by Misty Dawn, go here to see who's participating.

Michele of Rocky Mountain Retreat has had another set back and will not be posting this week. If you know her stop over and see the beautiful posting from her husband, Marcell, on her condition. Let us all hold her in our prayers for a recovery from this illness. In honor of her great photography I post my Canadian Geese through the year. This is for you Michele and your quick recovery.

The Geese in February are still healthy and getting through the winter in Ohio.
As Spring approaches the mothers to be have to explain a few things to the males.
The little bundles of joy are soon following along and heading to the pond.
They get bigger on all the grass and are so darned cute.

They have to learn to cross the road so the crossing guards keep them in line. White and black tail feathers start to appear.
It doesn't take long and they are a smaller version of the parents.
They always need a leader and he gets the prominent position on the lake. A higher view lets her watch for predators.
This has a question mark as to when we will have Michele back and posting with us.
She will have to start to spread her wings and see the wonders she wants to share with us.
She will then be up and flying. We await your return to a healthy situation that we can all share in your talent.

May God be with Marcell and Michele during this time of health problems.

I tend to overlook the "common" birds, always looking for the less common, but Canadas are very photographable. And their behavior is fascinating to watch which you captured very nicely.

Super post FG. I know all of our prayers are with Michele. Great captures of the Canada Geese. The goslings are so cute aren't they?

You make them seem so much more dear than what I knew as "the scourge of Long Island" - we were inundated with them up there and they were a nuisance, for sure. But you've captured a different aspect. Thanks for the glimpse into the non-evil side of Canadian geese!

Michele and Marcell are both amazing and beautiful - I will continue to pray for them. Michele is an inspiration to me with her spirit and with her talented photography. I really think they world of both of them and will pray my heart out for them.

As for these photos in this post, my friend - they are truly spectacular!

P.S. Only made it to Rocknes for lunch once. Which means I only got one of the two meals that I was dreaming of from there. Which also means - I need to come back VERY VERY soon! ;-) I still hope to meet you - just didn't get a chance on this trip... BUT my new job (and benefits) will help me make that meeting a possibility!
