Here are a mixture of Mallard Ducks and Canadian Geese sharing a flooded field. We had a lot of rain and the snow and ice is gone. (Michele - Do you see the Canadian?)
The two seemed to get along and were swimming together.
A large Red Tailed hawk flew across the road and landed in a tree close enough to capture a few shots before it got nervous. Can you see his 'crimson' tail (especially for Stacey).
There was a Coopers hawk in a tree that overhung the road. I turned around and got several shots.
I turned again and it kept posing. It was a nice bird.
I thought these were the best from a neat hawk encounter. A gust of wind ruffled it's feathers.
The deer came back to the back yard and posed. This was a mother and two fawns that are pretty well grown.

Loving your pics and looking forward to more.
I'd give my right big toe to get a Cooper's hawk shot as good as your! It's (they are) wonderful!
You certainly got nice captures of several species. What a great potpourri!
I am so jealous!
I can never get a good photo of the deer, cause they're always on the move. Never stopping.
Great shots again, FG!
Nice deer shots! Some deer have been visiting me in my front lawn.
looks like it was a good week for wildlife in your area. love the hawk pictures.
Great series of photos.
You always get such good pictures, Tom.. I especially love seeing the deer.
Thanks,

these are wonderful! i keep hoping to get a good photo of a hawk some day...when i see them, they are never willing to pose! lol
Fishing Guy: it's an amazing series of animals images. I like a lot the photos of the hawk on the tree.
How beautiful!! It is so nice when these birds co-operate. Many of our buck species also have a white underside to their tails which they raise when fleeing. This sight helps them stay together especially if it is dark.
You hit the jackpot there! Speaking of, were you in the group from Ohio that won all that lottery money? (haha) Great photos of the Hawks!
Loved all your encounters! Especially the ruffled feathers.
I certainly did enjoy your encounters with nature. Great photographs of a variety of fauna. My favorite is the hawk.
Wow...you really have been seeing some great stuff! I love the ducks and geese in the flooded field! The hawks shots are great. I saw one yesterday but the light was so poor, I never figured out what kind. And you have deer in the back yard...wow! I really crave some sunshine and time to get out and about for some photos.
Thank you so much for sharing these pictures and bringing the beauty of nature into my day! These are indeed wonderful pictures! What a wonderful place you must live in to see so many so often.
Cheers!
Lee
Now this is what I call having eye for the catch!

Getting much better and trying to gain the rythm again to be more around in blog world.

Looks like you had a good camera day. Great shots. :-)
I loved your encounters within Nature and how you not only found Nature, but how Nature also found you.
Hello
Such beautiful birds and deer! I love the hawk shots in the tree. Really amazing - and how nice of him to pose for you!!!
What incredible luck you have had, getting all these birds and the deer! I love the hawk with the ruffled feathers!
Thanks for sharing!
Lucky you to have such beautiful creatures as your neighbour, not like us staying in town. There's hardly any wildlife I can find here, unless I go to the zoo.
