The Chipmunks have become a lot braver since I added a bird feeder. They are very aggressive with the feed on the ground and are not afraid of anyone.
They share the feeder with their bigger cousins the Grey Squirrel.
Here is a Mourning Dove sharing the food.
The aggressive Boat Tailed Grackle doesn't even phase him. I saw him chase one away.
His other cousin the Black Squirrel also feed in peace from what the birds and squirrels have knocked down.
The Chipmunks is very happy with the new Chipmunk feeder.

Those are lovely shots! and a great story.
cheers!
They are indeed strictly in it for the food, that's for sure!
Nice display of the photos!
Just love tht black squirrel!!
cute photo's and story...agh I hate those lil grackles...they come in flocks to our house and scare away the other birds. The puppies like to chase them, and they other birds like this..that is when my sparrow, chickadee's, finch's, woodpeckers, ect...all come out. :)
Quite a difference in size between the Chipmunk and Suirrel.
Cheeky little bugger! Great photos, FG.
Squirrels are the smartest mammal -- or at least the most persistent!
Cool little guys. Chipmunks are so awesome!
Fishing Guy, I like the whole series of pictures. The close-up in the first photo is really beautiful!
Ah!! So that was where you got your grey squirrel tail shot from? :) I do wish we had chipmunks here.
Nice series Tom. I like the 2nd one the most.
I could wile away a few gazillion hours watching the chipmunks.
I don't care much for chipmunks, but those a cute photos anyway.
Cute photos and story!
I LOVE that first shot!!
Looks like luck was on your side, allowing you to get so many shots of more than one critter.

I so wish your chipmunks would travel over to southern Indiana :-) If I had them, I would probably get upset with them, but they sure are cute!
These are just great. Sorry I missed the guessing on the previous posts. I would have guessed the Alpaca. :) Your close ups amaze me.
I love to watch the chipmunks scurry across my yard. And I never get tired of seeing your black squirrels!
Chipmunks drive me crazy all summer! You got some fun shots though!
