Wednesday Potpourri

Wednesday Potpourri with a lot of different directions. The bounty of the garden is prolific at this time of year. The tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and squash are performing beyond belief. It looks like we might go into Indian Summer and keep on producing. My nephews son is such a cutie and is digging into that ice cream cone.
I caught a big Channel cat this past week - 5# 26" long on a crappie rig. It had the pole doubled in half as I fought it in. This fish was released to grow larger.
The Black Crappie are starting to bite and as the Fall approaches the bite should improve. They run from 11" to 9" and are good fighters on ultralight outfits. This is part of the catch. I call them footballs because of their shape.
I hope you enjoyed the variety in this post.

Congrats on the great catches, Tom. You are QUITE a fisherman... My son would love to live up there and learn from you.

Great veggies also... I guess that because we have had more rain and no drought this Summer, that HELPS the growing season.

Hugs
Betsy

I think my garden is gonna keep on keeping on, too. I have new growth on my tomatoes and new blooms.
Lucky catfish. Is it cold up there? (sweatshirt)
Looks like you had a pretty good haul by the looks of that cooler lid tray of crappy.

You must be very popular in your neighborhood with all those delicious vegetables coming from your garden. Of course, all those fish won't hurt your popularity either.

Great selection of photos, your nephew's son is adorable, your garden bounty enviable and the fishing must have been fun, especially when it was so successful.

I told you last year I was going to do a post of the Buckeye tree and the Buckeye butterfly. I finally did it, sorry it took so long.
