Hi Tom,

I haven't a clue on your pictures this week!!
The bird sure is cute though.
My internet at home went down on Friday and just got it kinda back up and running last night.
Trying to get caught up on my visits and comments.
You have shared some really great photo's this week!!

BWWWAAAAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I have once again hacked my way in to Craig’s profile! Just in time for this weeks game!!!

Beware Bug Lady! You are going down this week, just like the reflection of light on water; you will be dismissed as a cheap fleeting knockoff.

Now prepare to be dazzled by my Institute of Better Science skills!

1)
This is the consolation Metallic Beetle discovered in the early early (way way back) 1900’s by a Young lady from South Africa. She named the system after her pet Green Metallic Beetle.

2)
Cave Drawing discovered by Tom on his safari in South Africa. Tom became very ill on this trip (he told me in private that it was some food he ate at the safari guides house) but was very knowledgeable (also one of the founding members of the I BS team) about the native plant life and boiled some bark from the Heelu tree and saved his own life. This photo was one he took in a back room in the Cave the safari guide lived in.

3)
Tom, now you know this is a tough one but I am going to go with Alfred. This is just a guess but he looks like an Alfred to me. There is no telling what the bug lady will call the little fellow.

There you have fans. The winning ticket! Good luck Bug Lady and Bro!

I'll have to come back to #2, but here's a try for the other two:

1) Multiple flashes from a host of cameras at an event (like a concert).

3) Just a guess, but maybe a starling?

Friday night lights..maybe..football stadium..
The next ? and the birdie might be a young cowbird..but I am still waiting to hear from my second birder friend..the first said young cowbird as I had guessed but..this could be wrong..hopefully you will get some other ideas.
A very neat picture, tho, a good puzzle too! :)

1- UFO going to fly thru the Scorpion constellation.
2-cyclops smiley face
3-a molting Alfred. Pay attention Craig.

Craig Glenn said...

Now Gaelyn, he didn't ask that, he just asked his name!

I see who's side you are on!

Craig

Warren Baker said...

first one looks like sunshine glinting of the water FG. The second I havn't a clue. The third is a bit of a trick I bet, as the bird is well moulting. :-)

Craver Vii said...

Here's a stab at #2:

Tile art. Methinks it's the tail of el toro (a bull).

Is #1 a building w/ lights on in the windows? Or my 2nd guess would be a scoreboard!

imac said...

1)-street lights

2)-Gate handle

3)-Dickie

guess ive just wasted my typing here again, lol.

Come on Craig, you have to exactly right on with your answers. I'll bet Joan will know.

Tipper said...

Not a clue!! I'll be back to see what they are though.

Hello Tom. Please ignore you-know-who again but as usual he is off on his own rocket to Mars or somewhere as I do not think he is from this planet.

One can clearly see from his remarks that he is trying to cause trouble again this week but I am not going to play his game as he will just get worse than he already is. I know Bro is going to go with me on the above as he saw last week just who the crazy one was.

The CORRECT answers are:

#1. Stars reflected on water - either a pond or a lake.

#2. A smiley face done by a modern-day artist.

#3. A baby sparrow.

Thanks Gaelyn - you are not fooled by YKW anymore either. He seems to have metalic beetles on his brain although no such thing exsists and I think he need some of that concoction from the Heelu tree in order to see straight or at least come down from his cloud.

LOL!! LOL!!

I like Warren's guess for sunshine glinting off the water. I can see how it would look like that now.

It's just that I'm so used to seeing dozens of paparazzi flashes every time I go out... Yeah, right.

Craig Glenn said...

Well well well…

Look who woke up from her nap just in time to go to bed! Must be nice sweeping into the game in the bottom of the ninth! What are you a relief pitcher now? Now you got jokes?

You are right I am not from the planet you are on! I am here on EARTH!!! 3rd rock from the sun for you out of the galaxy types!

Don’t make me pull out the really nice letter Bro wrote to me. Yea that’s right I got one, did you? HA, I didn’t think so! Incase you didn’t notice Gaelyn enjoyed my answers so much she copied one of them! Much like you copied from the 10 people before you got here!

Who would name their bird “Baby Sparrow”? Silly bug lady.

Besides, the nice Craig made me put that plug in about your Green Metallic Beetle just for you! I see now THAT was a mistake. I try to be nice but you just have to ruin it!

Go back to sleep bug lady!

Well, this is the second post. I guess the first one didn't go through.

Great photos by the way fishingguy

Graig you must be kidding! 1.is the space shuttle landing. My complements to Tom for risking his life lieing on the runway to get this great shot !!

2. I may have to go with you on this one. If not, I will say so sort of art deco on a potted plant, most likely on someones porch.....peeping Tom.

3. Alfred ?? It is so obvious this is a female. You can tell by her attitude and the mean look in her eye. I would say Bridgette. Just by the way she is strattleing the two branches.

So, there you have it. Please, do not copy my answers.

Craig Glenn said...

Perfect Bro!

You are fitting right in and I might add following the right lead.

You certainly are right about those mean looks from the ladies... (you know who I am talking about)

Bridgette! LOL Good one!

Don't worry too much that old bug lady is most likely passed out by now!

Craig

I'd say it's time for me to step in here. Bad Craig, she is not asleep and is tracking all your posts. You better be careful!!!
#1 and #3 are guessed and that leaves #2 which no-one has come close to. I guess I cropped it to well. There are some good clues if you look closely on the pattern.
BTW: Don't copy Bro's answers unless you want to be wrong. That was the best part of his guess.

Craig Glenn said...

If you read carefully Tom, I didn't say she was asleep, I said she was passed out!

LOL

Bad Craig: I don't think so, wait until she gets back to the computer and sees this remark.

Craig Glenn said...

Maybe good Craig is scared of that ole bug lady, but Bad Craig is NOT!

What is she gonna do? Hoop on her broom and whip up another hurricane and spin it towards Florida again? HUH, she missed the last 4 times! She is more likely to hit Ohio! LOL

LOL

Bad Craig

The minute my back is turned, some people misbehave again!!

Bro: Common now!! Who would want to copy your dumb answers anyway!! Looks like you have joined C on his "Wild Guess Trip"!! Here I was after last week thinking you were going to turn out okay, meantime it seems like I was wrong!! Brigette?? Be serious!! Who would want to call a bird that. I am from Africa and birds are always called "Broads".

Craig: Passed out?? Just because you can't hold your liquour does not mean I cannot hold mine....OOPS...I mean I DONT drink (well not all that much). No wait .... I am getting confused here ...... what was I saying? Trying to say? ..... Oh Yeah, now I remember, The Coke WAS rather strond tonight, must have been the ice cubes in it.

Tom: You are right, leave it to me to sort these guys out for you. This little ole woman ain't gonna stand back and take all this abuse. My broom...I mean jet is ready to zoom me over there ...first stop Florida!! Just let me know where Bro comes from. The cagey fellow has not put this in his profile as he knows I am coming after him too!!

SAPhotographs (Joan) said...

Bro: You know, it seems to me like you might live in Texas as that is the only other State where people are as crazy as those from Florida. So watch out...my spies are everywhere and I am coming after YOU next. You can run but you can't hide!!

LOL!! LOL!!

1. Stadium lights.
2. I have no idea.
3. I'm pretty sure that the bird's name is Sheila. ;)

Craig Glenn said...

How many times have I got to tell you bug lady, I am from Georgia but now live in Florida.

As Far as Bro is concerned, he will tell you "Don't mess with Texas"!
