My World #10

This is the ninth posting for the My World meme . It is hosted by Klaus, Ivar,Sandy, Wren, Louise and myself. Last week there were 98 people showing their worlds to us. Won't you join in, I want to see where you live and thrive. Here is part of 'My World'.

It is a family tradition take the grand kids to Cuyahoga Falls at the Blossom Music Center to see the light display. The cost is $10 per car to drive through. The price is probably is the reason for the 1 mile line-up of two lanes of cars. This is the venue where I saw five country music shows this year. The venue can hold 25,000 people. The complete loop around the multiple parking lots are lined with Christmas light displays. I will try to just give you a feel for what you would see if you rode along.
It is a fun display with a lot of different characters.
This is the display of the snowman family.
The Santa dragon has a knight in front of him.
This gives you a good view of the dragon from the other side. The road is a big loop so you see some things from both sides.
We have a Christmas train with packages needing to be delivered.
There are lighted arches that you drive under.
The North wind was blowing a good blast.
The exit is a moving light tunnel and I think the movement of the lights played games with my camera but you can still see the tunnel.
I wish all the My World friends a happy holiday season as we remember a love that is available to all who have a need at Christmas time.

The Christmas lights are beautiful! I came to look at the Camera Critters post, but as usual got sidetracked here. :-)
The birds are very pretty too. For some reason when I see cardinals, I always think of how beautiful they looked in the snow up north. The bird I have in my post would be lost in the snow. :-)
Have a wonderful Christmas!

An amazing display, the idea of a loop of displays is a good one, so many different things all in lights, I am sure the grand children loved it. love that dragon.
Must catch up with you after this busy time to correct things I have messed up! Have a very merry Christmas.

That is such a fun tradition. I'm sure the grandkids would remember that for as long as they live and maybe take their own grandkids to something like this one too.

Happy holidays.

Thanks for the tour of the Blossom Music Center Christmas lights. Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, used to do the same thing (perhaps they still do) but on a smaller scale. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.

Beautiful light show, Tom.. It's fun to see what people can do with lights. The prettiest lights here in the Glade are from homes across the lake. The lights reflect in the lake and are so pretty. But--it's hard to get a good picture.

Thanks for sharing YOUR world.

I've been to Blossom once or twice for a craft show, if I'm remembering correctly. I didn't know they did the Christmas light displays - those are always such fun, and no one wants to drive fast, so all the cars don't matter much.

Thank you for bringing this little bit of Christmas to me, where there is no sign of Christmas anywhere. I used to take my kids to something similar when they were little and seeing your photos brought back a lot of good memories for me! Warm wishes for a happy and healthy holiday to you and your family!

Those Christmas light displays are such fun to see. We have one right off #66 in Manasas and you can even the lighted ferris wheel and some of the other lights from the interstate. Were there any crappie fish lights there to make you dream of a spring fishing trip.

They do something similar to that at one of the local amphitheaters here. I forget what it's called, but it's the same idea. I've never seen it though.

Greetings from the Westcoast...actually Vancouver Island....we are covered in snow here with temperatures -15C....I love your photos of the lights....we haven't been able to get out much....I just had surgery at the beginning of the month and I am not allowed to drive boo hoo.....

I am an avid birder and I love that you get the Cardinals in your area....I didn't get a good look at the darker shaded bird...but often with birds like the Cardinals you will see birds like the Pine siskins but I am not 100% sure....

I really enjoyed your blog.... I see you also participate in the Sunday Critters....I haven't participated in awhile...I think I should get back into it...

All the best to you and your family....I have added you to my blog list...cheers!

Pretty lights-love the North Wind!

I don't think I have seen or heard of anything quite like this, interesting. I appreciated your thought at the bottom.

Maybe we could go out tonight and see the local lights. It takes awhile for it to get dark. My son went out too early this year and didn't see as much as he would have liked.
