Sky Watch # 22

Sky Watch Friday has on it's own site. Please check out the site and link in if you wish to participate. There were 362 people last week with beautiful Sky photos. You can link in from my side bar or at the start of this post.

I thought this week with our gray skies I would show two sunrises through the clouds. This one had an interesting look as the sun rose into the sky.
This one has a sky that looked like the sun would break through.
Here is a midday shot with a little blue in the sky. This soon turned to all gray.
These are the two sunsets through the cloudy skies. The setting sun showed as a dispersed yellow ball. The sun got lower and the sky took over but it still looked nice as the sun tried to shine off the clouds.
I had to show one Summer shot on my fishing lake to get me out of this gray sky mood. this is the pump house at my water supply lake. I hope to see the sun again real soon.
The life blood of blogging is visitation so go out there and see some beautiful skies at the SWF site.

The sunrises are beautiful. Where I would love to be is sitting by the water near the pump house in your last photo.

Gray sky or not,

she sure puts her finest colors on display! Beautiful series of pictures.

Nice cycles of shots. I don't blame you one bit for wanting to post the pump phouse shot. It's gray and dull here on the Erie north shore, too.

All nice! I love your warm summer skies, but I think my favorite is the 2nd to last sunset. Incredible colors and clouds! It's to pretty to put one in a grey mood!

Great sequence, Tom. It's rainy and dreary here today in TN. I needed to see that last picture--just to help me know that 'this too will pass.' (We've had LOTS of rain the past few days. We needed the rain--but not all at once.. Gads!)

Beautiful set of photos! How different is the winter sun compared to the summer sun, no?

Colin Campbell said...

Very nice. Even in winter there are many interesting things to photograph.

Perfect shots once again, I especially love the last one. What I would do to throw a line in that water.

Cheers!

I note that the sky takes on a shot silk quality in two of them. Very nice.

Beautiful sky shots, FG.
Today I have had all those gray skys. Really rainy and dreary. It seemed to be passing as I drove home from work. You won't hear me complaining about the rain. We really need it.

What a great series of skywatch photos! Loved the one of the two sunsets seen thru the two trees! Beautiful. I hope you see your sun soon also...I hate too many days where the sun is shining everywhere else except where you live!!! ;-)

Nice sky watches FG! Great for the cloudy blues!

Today our only sun was right at twilight. It reminded me of some of your photos. And we got rain too. That's a change of pace for the dry season. Good news is that there is cold air behind it.

My favorite would definitely be the very first one of the sun peering through the clouds. Nicely captured. I'm looking at the sky here.

I love that first sunrise - winter sun arrives offering promise, but delivering only light on a cold winter day.

Well, that's what it makes me feel.

Thanks for inviting me to join the 'My World' Tuesday Photos, I shall give it a go, but whether it will be in anyway connected to the group is doubtful, as I don't know how to do so, but I shall try. The idea is so good, I really want to join in.

Hoping the best for your wife. A good wife is a treasure and as you obviously well know, to have a good wife one must be a good husband.
